But when it comes to determining who advances at top or second seed they look at direct results. If you say so. It's a very weird system in that case that I've never seen before. This would make much more sense.

HuK gets 100$ more than Artosis, so it does matter a lot. And why would the seeding be semi-random. What's the point of getting first then? That's just wrong

Either Sarens is second and Strelok through, or Sarens first and demuslim through. The only reasonable answer is that there is some random element to the playoff matchups or the less likely alternative that they messed up. They said that it was random. The only factor was that no one should face anyone he played at the group stage until the final and they achieved that.

If you've seen his go4sc2 games vs dimaga back when zvt still wasnt horrible you'll understand(tarson won in a prolonged macro games btw). Tarson is a guy who can abuse openings as well as play solid macro game which is a lot more then i can say even about demuslim, who is someone i had very high expectations for.

I think there are very few people who think Madfrog will make it to the finals. He only needs to beat Tarson to make it to the third place match though. So far Madfrog has been showing a very innovative game and often plays smart even if he overall isn't in perfect form yet which he admits himself. I wouldn't be surprised if he beats Tarson. Day9 also bet that he would win his first match. It's funny how Naniwa has a german flag on the brackets on the ESL site even though he is Swedish. I think he moved to germany to play from there but then Idra should have a Korean flag too.

(sorry, i'm hopeless at telling times like those -_- It is 21:44 CET. The game starts in about 12 hours.

I don't see what would lead anyone to think he's going to get "destroyed"... I mean he's been playing just as good as most of the other players in the tourney so far.. he managed to beat White Ra and Cloud.. of course he isn't expected to win the tourney.. but his play so far does not suggest he's going to get "destroyed" heh..
