Cool little event here, though I'm not so sure about the inclusion of Spades :/
Yea about the game currently being played: Monkey just warped a DT to clean up the last of qxc's army, like Protosses often did in BW. Why don't more Tosses do this? There will rarely be Ravens on the map and every scan used is such a huge cost to Terran in minerals...
I like that tactic a lot.
Edit: but O M F G a squad of reapers is so devastating lategame, even more than drop wowowowowow Nexus goes down in 5 seconds, cannons don't stand a chance...probes popping left and right. Unless the Toss has his main army at the expo it's pretty much dead.

I agree Toss need to do this more, but most Toss don't just get a Dark Shrine to have one.

Oh I was more referring to his history of hacking, I don't know that he's done anything to redeem himself? I'm just not a fan even though he's obviously still a strong player.
Yeah I was thinking about that, Dark Shrine is real expensive but lategame it seems worth the investment.

Ah I am not familiar with his hacking history. It's news to me.
The 250 gas is the killer. 250 gas at any point in the game as Toss sucks to part with  .

Monkey's play is quite entertaining.
I didnt see the earlier matches, but I'm glad i tuned in! I hope for more monkey in the future.

Was this an invite event? (I can't find out in the OP, have heard the commentators mention a larger tournament a couple times but am still unsure)

Oh man, Monkey is really fun to watch. Such a smart player, using pylons in the middle of the map for flanking purposes and deciding to counter instead of defend there. Very nice play. Immortals + storm working great vs bioball+tanks.
This game yet another instance of Terran refusing to get ghost despite being owned by storms...
oh wait! Ghosts out now! Sweet!

On a side note: Its annoying that no matter how many battles the protoss wins, he can never really counterattack. Third game was kind of annoying to watch. What seemed to pull qxc ahead the most was just running groups of marauders to suicide into monkey's nexuses (nexi?) over and over and over and over. Monkey had fantastic response times and scouting, but he still couldnt kill the marauders or reapers fast enough... every single time. Even when QXC stood in storms or threw away tons of resources worth of units to snipe a nexus, monkey could never counterattack because of a few static defenses at qxc's base.
If that's what PvT is supposed to become, qxc did a great job with it, and he's obviously a very skilled player. But it just felt ugly and wrong, like a half-man-half-goat baby. I understand hit-and-runs, or harassment, or even expansion sniping, but that was too much. It felt like there was absolutely nothing monkey could do.
Either way, thanks the great entertainment tonight, ITL.
