I would guess it's legal, as if it's known and Blizzard hasn't changed it then it should be fine

Should see if there is a way to put like a ~2 minute delay on the stream to prevent this stuff.

It's a freaking BETA and over 1k prize pool for a tournament already. WOOOOW amazing! like what if players are practicing a build or something and then the night before Blizz patches so "x" building takes 30 seconds longer to build now? loool that would suck so hardcore. good luck everyone playing! (Orb and Storrzerg especially!!)

you shouldn't...just do it TSL style, replays with live commentary streamed immediately after game because honestly, if you stream the games while they're going on someone is going to cheat, and even if no one does there's always the possibility so the winner will always be in doubt On March 10 2010 04:27 CowGoMoo wrote: Should see if there is a way to put like a ~2 minute delay on the stream to prevent this stuff. yeah this would be awesome if it's possible

Maybe we can stream 1st game (replay) while they play 2nd game and etc. But I prefer the delay ~2minutes on it than anything. I'm betting technical difficulties will make a smooth immediate streaming of the game right after they are played neigh on impossible. The things is we might as well go ahead and experiment since it's all new technology. I caught a bit of Day-9 manipulating the game clock and jumping around as he was reviewing one of CowGoMoo's games and that was quite the presentation. Part of the marvel is that there are no set strategies that everyone can recognize at one glance. It takes quite a bit of analysis to explain what the players are doing and why they are doing it. While I don't expect the casters to completely dissect the strategic play, I would like to see what the casters are able to do with the newer and better replay technology of SC2. And so what a wonderful idea it was to dedicate some of the money pool to the casters. Although I am hoping we get some high quality video and sound capture. As good as livestream has been for Starcraft, it really hasn't been able to show all the details that have been in SC2.

Effectively they did the same thing but with a bit more tact. In any case, I'm enjoying the show you're putting on and look forward to the rest of the tournament.

Naw, that was totally amazing and necessary. So many people think they walk on water. Some good public humiliation is always good for people who have their ego spilling out their eyes. Me included.

Yes, this exactly. I hate this current attitude that most seem to have, that they have no responsibility or obligations. I mean christ, the dude is running a tournament for free, lists all the rules/stipulations/whatever, take the 2 mins out of your busy schedule to at least read it first before you sign up. The guy who quits the day before was like "Ah well, no biggie, who gives a shit" Godamn, nice work taking ownership on that one.
