question for the bugs, in sc2 you can click minerals and have workers slide even if you dont have vision of them. getting that behavior in sc1 was always considered abuse since you had to use bugs to get it, but in sc2 all you have to do is click the minerals. still considered abuse?

I would guess it's legal, as if it's known and Blizzard hasn't changed it then it should be fine

I think it should be considered abuse, but I'm impressed it still works this way in SC2...

Ret is on the EU servers, and is thus not able to play against anyone on the US server.

Just wondering, when you say "LIVE commentary/streaming", do you mean like the TSL or are the games actually going to be streamed while they're going on? If the latter what's to prevent the players from watching the stream?

I trust them

Should see if there is a way to put like a ~2 minute delay on the stream to prevent this stuff.

This has got to be the biggest prize pool tournament a game in beta has ever seen.

It's a freaking BETA and over 1k prize pool for a tournament already. WOOOOW amazing!

like what if players are practicing a build or something and then the night before Blizz patches so "x" building takes 30 seconds longer to build now? loool that would suck so hardcore. good luck everyone playing! (Orb and Storrzerg especially!!)

you shouldn't...just do it TSL style, replays with live commentary streamed immediately after game
because honestly, if you stream the games while they're going on someone is going to cheat, and even if no one does there's always the possibility so the winner will always be in doubt

Hi, I am Bubba.bubba supposed to be playing Jenia.bru in the ro128. After some searching, I noticed there is no handle Jenia.bru on the US servers... and in another teamliquid thread http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=114793&currentpage=All
it shows Jenia.bru as being in the European beta. I am unsure as what you want to do from here, just let me know asap via pm!

Its kind of hard to do a duel commentary on replays as you have to both be in sync and stuff since you can't both be in 1 game and watch it together

We'll stream the replay right after the games are played maybe? I don't know, Diggity and Day[9] is gonna iron out the details from what I understand.

Maybe we can stream 1st game (replay) while they play 2nd game and etc.

But I prefer the delay ~2minutes on it than anything.

I'm betting technical difficulties will make a smooth immediate streaming of the game right after they are played neigh on impossible.

The things is we might as well go ahead and experiment since it's all new technology. I caught a bit of Day-9 manipulating the game clock and jumping around as he was reviewing one of CowGoMoo's games and that was quite the presentation. Part of the marvel is that there are no set strategies that everyone can recognize at one glance. It takes quite a bit of analysis to explain what the players are doing and why they are doing it.

While I don't expect the casters to completely dissect the strategic play, I would like to see what the casters are able to do with the newer and better replay technology of SC2. And so what a wonderful idea it was to dedicate some of the money pool to the casters.

Although I am hoping we get some high quality video and sound capture. As good as livestream has been for Starcraft, it really hasn't been able to show all the details that have been in SC2.

Random_KoKorean, while it may feel good to publicly tar and feather those that have slighted you, ouch! That was a bit extreme. You definitely have a different style about you. You're no TSL that's for sure. I could only imagine if Teamliquid made a big FUCK YOU post to all of the cheaters.

Effectively they did the same thing but with a bit more tact. In any case, I'm enjoying the show you're putting on and look forward to the rest of the tournament.

Naw, that was totally amazing and necessary. So many people think they walk on water. Some good public humiliation is always good for people who have their ego spilling out their eyes. Me included.

No that's actually awesome.

Yes, this exactly. I hate this current attitude that most seem to have, that they have no responsibility or obligations. I mean christ, the dude is running a tournament for free, lists all the rules/stipulations/whatever, take the 2 mins out of your busy schedule to at least read it first before you sign up. The guy who quits the day before was like "Ah well, no biggie, who gives a shit" Godamn, nice work taking ownership on that one.

As stated in the other thread, full results with (most) scores and races can be found on the wiki:

it cause there are no consequences for stuff like this, and the only problem it can cause is rage check (op) but its a nice idea of him to set up a tourny but not when people are thoughtless -_-

I uploaded the replay pack using mediafire because megaupload sucks: http://www.mediafire.com/?kzte2yg3ixc

Also, where can I send 20$? Sorry, tried reading through most of the thread, can't find any info.

This is so awesome, absolutely brings a tear to my eye to see so many people engage in doing community stuff like this for everyone. There is hope for humanity still

Very good initiative randomKo_rean, if you are stopping to play, maybe you could have a smooth transition into administrating sc2 tourneys, cause this was awesome.

Now just waiting for some VODs.
Just another noob

Can you post on multiple sites or something? It says download limit exceeded on megaupload.

Edit: Ugh probably because I'm on school connection. Someone else here must be downloading something.
