I personally am not that interested in group b; I'm sure 3 aggressive players will produce some interesting games but idra v nestea is opportunity for beautiful macro zvz that can't be discounted because it is so rare | ||

group B is the hardest no doubt. I know everyone loves idra but hes just an average player in code S standards so this group pretty much only has nestea and MVP as big names | ||

Group C on the other hand has so many ZvZs, it can go to any of them, while the Zs such strong ZvT as well, its gonna be hard. but as nestea is in a slump, i dont see this being too exited about.... But y is people even voting for group A?? its like the easiest group of all.... Jjaki is just gonna role over everybody in that group.... Last spot of the group will most probably be taken by Ganzi, but it depends on their builds as him and Boxer are in the same team. But if they go into a standard game, i dont think Boxer stands a chance...... | ||

Breakdown: A: Jjakji - really scary because of last GSL Sen - incredibly good but didn't really win anything major yet. Boxer - everybody likes him, but lets face it - he barely got into code S... Ganzi -meh... B: Leenock - best zerg now? Fin - very promising (and hyped), we will see how he will do in Code S MC - despite lack of success in recent months still probably the best protoss (along with Hero) Supernova - meh... C: Mvp - He wins most things  Nestea - not as scary as few months ago but still... Idra - good guy Grack but he might get raped a bit... Lucky - he will need a lot of luck too | ||

although if nestea starts to play like he did in the middle of the year (GSL May and July?) then group C could be harder than group B but if that's not what is meant by best group, I would say group C > group B, mostly because of the welcome back that IdrA gets (I don't hope he fails, but some of us find it kinda funny that GSL put him right back into code S with the two players considered to be the best in the world for a long period of time (as far as SC2 is concerned) even though the pool drawings were mostly random) | ||

Group B on the other hand, is DEBUTING a broodwar player who has shown us some entertaining aggressive style. It's fucking ForGG guys come on. Leenock is solid, Boss toss is gettin better lately, and supernova...is meh like Lucky. It's always interesting to see how BW players will do in SC2, esp when they are a step above the old crew (Boxer, Nada, July) | ||

better then MVP???????? like who? i can see better then nestea at the moment but MVP??? how can anyone dispute hes the best player in the world right now? Of course MVP is the most succesful player in sc2 history, but compared to his prime time he is in a bit of a slump. i mean he is still one of the best but i dont see him in the top 3 atm. imo at least leenock jjakji mma and drg are better and even if mvp is exactly on the same level, the rest of group b is better than the rest of group c. but that is only my opinion and i think this forum is here to post personal opinions. | ||

I don't really want to call it a slump, I feel more like it is they are being outstripped by players becoming better than them at a faster pace. | ||

Is it that a group has the best players for the spots to proceed, then random people for the other two spots? That's obviously group C. Or is it that the group has great players who are all near each others skill level, so you can't tell who will make it out? That's obviously B. | ||

Also, I think Nestea's suffering from Clide syndrome (and the recent metagame shifts aren't favouring him) and is not going to get through to the ro16. Jus' my opinion. Edit: group F and group B also look O_O. Everything else is a bit too predictable (although upsets are always interesting) | ||

I voted B, mostly since this is stupid topic if everyone bet C, even if it was the toughest. But B is definately most interesting imo - leenock/MC are awesome and both still potential finalists. Everybody want to see forGG own now, and supernova ain't bad either, eventhough I hope he doesn't move on from that | ||

As for group C, I think it's quite clear that MVP and Nestea will advance, with MVP winning the group maybe 7/10 times. Though I love me some MVP TvX, it's a pretty forgone conclusion as to who will win. | ||

I can understand why people would choose group C, since it has both MVP and Nestea. But tbh, Nestea hasn't looked really scary for awhile, and lucky and Idra has to be two of the worst players in those Code S groups. | ||
