Our winner of WCG USA, The Spirit Tournament and 4th place finisher in the Teamliquid Starleague is on his way to Korea to join the Estro progaming team. Despite his busy preparation schedule, Nony has agreed to do a second episode of Teamliquid Attack before he ascends the ranks of progamer stardom and will be playing a series of games vs community members!
There are lots of old stories of "i beat bisu when he was terran", "i beat jaedong zvz when he started at lecaf" (incontrol did 0_0 i saw the rep), so if you want to GO DOWN IN HISTORY THIS IS YOUR CHANCE!!!!!
Today Chill and Rage are busy hunting gnomes in the countryside so your masters of ceremonies will be Kennigit and the Crotchmaster himself, Fakesteve.

I think there's going to be a linky linky clicky clicky type thing where it automatically does everything for you. That's how they've done it in TLAs past.
this is the first TL.net attack ive been able to watch since Cloud's.... and its already 11:15pm here... I have to go to school tomoro at 6am. I hope this starts fast T_T

Patience is the virtue of people with lots of free time.

Politely waiting i would count to being the virtue of patience thou. You're not patience if your bitching and complaining while your waiting in my opinion.

You get headaches from lack of sleep? I'd hate to be in your position. Worst thing that happens to me is falling asleep in university classes..

if you show up 5 minutes early you're on time, if you show up on time, you're late, and if you were gonna show up late, don't even bother showing up at all.

im pretty sure he wouldn't but im implying for nony saying that about boxer that FBH would dance like no tomorrow if nony and him vs'ed eachother and he won
kennigit and i were last-minute substititions, no other options here. both of us were running about 30 hours without sleep before the broadcast started
apologies for the dead air and lack of focus, but we had some fun games and we hope you guys had fun watching
Although this episode was definitely not TLA's finest hour, it was still fairly successful and the last-minute work by you guys was nice Near the end it got sooooo quiet though hahaha, but still thanks for doing this! Good job Fakesteve, Kennigit and intrigue, and thanks NonY for the games ;D

yeah a combination of nony being obviously very dead for 10 minutes, kennigit getting disconnected, and me having absolutely nothing to add about a clearly over game kinda wrecked the last little bit hahah
at the very least, one could call it a 'unique' episode
yeah god i had no idea what the fuck was going on, my internet has never done anything like that before with ventrilo so i was absolutely fucking lost as far as what to do about it went hahahah
very sorry about the problems today. in addition to commentators being recruited last minute and messups, so many variables that are out of our control went sour: when has vent pooped out during a broadcast? who knew the antihack wouldn't work in team melee? how could we prepare for commentators dropping left and right? when have i practiced following R1CH the Wizard's on-the-fly instructions to install a hastily programmed patch for the rally bug (he wrote it in minutes and sent it to me during the game, guy is incredible)?
the good thing is that this was a pretty educational experience for us too, and we will do much better in responding to these problems in the future. please stick with us for future episodes, and thank you for bearing with us this time.

Fakesteve's stories in the middle were pretty entertaining though.
"When I played my first game of Starcraft, some guy did that exact build in the middle of his base. What do you think of that?" "He was one step away from greatness"
Yeah the commentary/stories from Steve were very amusing and worth listening to. Despite all the technical difficulties, great job TL staff and players!
rofl after fakesteve talked about sleeping i was like ugh yeah... i need some of that too and started listening to the stream lying on my bed... woke up just now rofl
Sorry I missed this. I and everyone else really do take it seriously, but today I really had an unavoidable situation come up. Thanks to Fakesteve filling in on around twelve hour's notice.
Seriously FakeSteve was really good, good questions, good stories, good remarks. The problems didn't come from the commentators but from the huge delay on ventrilo and nony being somehow boring.
I don't know if it's because of the ventrilo server or if that kind of delay is usual in north america but most of the voice servers here have instant communication. weird.
So, you guys bumped the show forward an hour and thanks to Australian daylight savings the show aired at 7am for me, so I was only able to watch an hour and a half'ish before having to head to school but from what I saw it was awesome.

Don't worry, you couldn't have predicted people playing Team Melee. I mean, what's next, Capture the Flag ? But yeah, when someone said that R1CH patched the detector live, my jaw just hit the floor. I had no idea why it was gone, but I was really appreciative, and a bit amazed.
Chill would have made the show better, but it wasn't that bad imo. Fakesteve (and Nony as well) we're pretty funny and we have seen some pretty decent games.
On October 27 2008 10:42 LucasWoJ wrote: Yeah, I gotta agree with the people saying FS was the best part of the show; Chill w/ Fakesteve would be awesome. xD
I am missing something here. . . What did R1CH do exactly?
Regarding this episode, it started out nicely (save for insane lag), then you were bogged down in technical difficulties and soon everyone was just quiet, that sucked. Then there were some lame opponents and not so many fun games. I can't say Nony did any "crazy" stuff exactly, and he did not play any off race games.
Sorry guys, I have to be honest here.
Also, Fakesteve and Chill for next episode would be awesome.
