I know there is a thread, but I thought I might keep track of things and have them updated on the front page.
What is KeSPA Cup? KeSPA Cup is a Team-league event that took place today, and will continue tomarrow. Actually KeSPA Cup includes other games like Special Force and Counter Strike, but of course I will only cover Starcraft.
How is it played, what's the format? The teamleaque will be consisting of 16 teams. 12 Proteams, and 4 amateur teams (actually 3, u'll see what I mean). The format will be a regular Single Elimination Tournament, with the first team to win 3 games to advance to the next round.
However, the "clanwars" will be a format known as "Korean Style Clanwar". Each team sends out 1 player, and the winner of that match stays, while the team that lost sends out another player, and they play... and the process goes on until one team gets 3 wins. (This is how Legionnaire did his famous SKT1 all-kill)
So, let's get right into it.

Interesting Points: - The once-top 2 teams, KTF and SKT1, each got 3-0'd respectively. - CJ, also a top team, also gets eliminated by SKT1's 2nd team. - BoxeR vs Up.MagiC's game is reported to be 54 minutes, and was intense, with massive BC's, Wraiths, and lockdown. - Holy shit YellOw[ArnC] all-killed eStro! Speaking of all-kills, Yarnc's twin brother, Luxury[GsP], all-killed KTF!! And I'm not done! Chalrenge turned an 0-2 game around to 3-2, getting an all-kill himself!!! - In other words, OGN got to the finals with only all-kills. - Irony at it's best, MBC and OGN, the two companies that were at war with KeSPA, advanced to the finals of KeSPA's tournament. (fans are joking around, saying OGN and MBC should just not show up at the finals in protest)

Wow, Chalrenge did the most impressive kill that day. What a beast. Stork --> JJu --> Zergman KaL as well Oov --> Hyuk --> Canata Nice. And nice matches. A lot of others performed greatly too.

Well because of the Broadcasting issues, there was no plan to broadcast this through OGN/MBC. But they did say it will be broadcasted through iSBS and GomTV. But I think they said it will be recorded... not sure.
But I found some on Makpan's box, gonna check em out.
CJ out in full force with DArKeLf, MinGu, and TheManiaMST. Well, obviously Savior and Iris have their priorities straight, but what about Xellos, or maybe someone making a name himself these days, you know, by the name of Much?
The tourney covers StarCraft, Special Forces, Cart Rider, WarCraft 3 and Counter Strike. For Starcraft, the finals will be 'On-Air' March 11th, Korea time.
10,000,000 Won (~$10,000) + trophy for first place. 5,000,000 Won (~$5,000) + trophy for second place. 3,000,000 Won (~$3,000) + trophy for third place.
The four amateur teams that make it to the ro16 get 1,000,000 Won (~$1,000) each, plus possibly progamer membership.
Edit:
Schedule Supposedly 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM Korea time the round of 4 for Starcraft is supposed to be played. That's theoretically in 8 minutes.
Starcraft finals is on March 11th, 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Korea time.

Well, now that CJ has a sponsor, they get a little more leeway to send in their younger players to get some experience rather than working their top players over and over to survive.
mrmin you wouldent happen to know the exact place either on gomtv or the other station thats broadcasting, all i see is a cs final or something right now

I'm not sure if this is being broadcasted at all. All the news items on KeSPA's site regarding the event I've read so far basically say 'we hope you come watch!' I'm going to keep digging around the site.

It's on GomTV alright. According to FighterForums OGN and MBC decided not to televise it so SBSi and GomTV are broadcasting them.
Looks like a cool tourney though, considering the amount of games I wish reps were out for this one... Would take too much effort to gather the vods for all these.
Dont wanna sound like/be a prick and all cause its wonderful job and all. But...

wasnt it toona SG?
However will there be replay pack of this or just vods? I remember old kespa events had reps thats why im asking. Or have i got it all wrong here? E-kasa maybe?
Any recommended games other than Boxer vs Up and Casy vs Sea? I watched a bunch but the best I could find was Yarnc vs Stork (nice play by Stork, but the game was nothing special).
What the hell? Are you guys joking? Jaedong poor vP? Savior is pretty much accepted to be godly vP, yes? And one zerg had a higher vP win rate in 2006. Jaedong. Best matchup. I wouldn't read too much into a single loss to Bisu, after all look what happened to Savior. This is pretty clearly a case of Bisu on a roll vZ and not Jaedong sucking at the matchup.
Win % Jan 1st 2006 to Dec 2nd 2006: vs Terran Jaedong 15-14 51.7% vs Zerg Jaedong 20-7 74.0% vs Protoss Jaedong 15-4 78.9%
I've watched all the games of 2nd KeSPA CUP. All the games was very exiting. But many guys couldn't watch the games, I know. So, if you guys want to see the games, you should visit the "Gom TV". On gom tv, you can see the all game clips for free if u setup the 'GOM TV program' in ur computer.( http://ch.ipop.co.kr/main.html?ch=411)
