Coming into this match there was a lot of doubters, myself included, that A-A could finish anywhere other than the bottom. With a convincing win over MVP, they answered those doubts emphatically. Takeaways from tonight:
thank you for the synopsis/analysis i didn't get a chance to watch and all i wanted to hear was MMA in 2011 form? i can't wait for slayers players to return to tip top shape..hoping HotS does the job!

Again it's way too early to say, but consider that MMA's period of success coincided with a period of terran dominance, with his results dropping off a cliff after the queen patch (alongside those of his race.) With the possibility we may be in a new terran era, could this be the start of MMA's comeback? Could MMA be the greatest "patch-terran" of all time? He certainly looks content to ride the wave on his newly speedboosted toy. There’s no denying that Terran’s are back in their comfort zone, but I also think MMA is in a better place mentally too. Seems like the dust from the Slayers drama has finally settled and he’s content with his new place with Acer. They are a new team, they have a tiny roster, they don't have elite players. They beat MVP yes, but they never led until the final game. MMA should've been finished in game 6 after his failed all-in but Monster never pressed his advantage and let MMA back in the game. If Ax-Acer get a playoff spot, that will be as good as winning a trophy. Also the fact that FXO and MVP have to play each other next is even better for AXA since it’ll send one of them down even further, but yes, it’s still very early days. Once week two has completed and every team has had a turn then we’ll have a better idea of the situation but the fact is that win was so valuable to AXA in more ways than one.

1) They're an actually competitive non-Korean team: Wait what? Surely we cannot consider AA to be non-Korean right? Crank did not play because he's playing at i48 for the ESET tournament. And the match already took place :p

STRAYA LOL Mate, of course FXO is an Aussie team from down under, especially since Team Manager FXOUnstable is based in Malaysia, Players are Korean and the HQ of the financial office is in New Zealand. Seems like the dust from the Slayers drama has finally settled and he’s content with his new place with Acer. Sounds like that's what's happening. I saw MMA streaming WOL, his control is so good... he has dominion over his forces. No missclicks, everything lines up, its a pleasure to watch. (even for a noob like me) Hope Totalbiscuit will bring more fun coverage over team Axiom-Acer.
