Can I be frank? The review on Supernova, I mean he did get SECOND! lol, its not like he had an awful tournament, coming second is prettty fucking good, so no need to downplay him so harshly imo, sure he wasn't at the top of his game, but he did have some outstanding games.

I feel like he's always gonna be a favourite to win, second is damn close so I feel that was a pretty good guess.

Idra is in the easiest group, but probably still will not come out:}

If people want to learn PvP watch Elfie in group B, that kid is absolutely FANTASTIC at PvP, and since thats basically the whole group, I say he has a strong chance of moving on to the RO16. Besides Elfi, PvP is such a toss up match up, anyone can move on, so we will have to see.
The only way to attack structure is with chaos.

Well, Elfi should be the favourite in his group. If he manages to 2-0 Nerchio he should be able to win his group without dropping a game.

Looks to be a great tournament overall and with the amount of representatives from Aiur, you would think that one of them could take it. MMA is still the favourite though but I think that MC might be able to take it.

All of the groups are realy ballanced race wise, aside from b, not realy sure why they had to put 5 protoss in the same group. Furthermore many of the protoss in this group are beter than the others in groups A, C and D. Its a shame that moving out of group stage for these players is going to be decided by who can play the beter PvP. so sad

There are no swedes in this tournament. As a shameless patriot I have to say that it's a damn shame since only swedes stands a chance to break the korean dominance

great writeup as always, shame there are so few TL members participating the tournament.

Elfy will make it out of his group, and then die as soon as he runs into someone not Protoss. Hate watching him play cause he's so good at PvP yet you know he has no chance at all at beating a decent zerg or terran. Feels like a wasted spot. Swap him and feast around and he wouldn't make it out.

IMHO this is either an MC or MMA tournament. If they are both playing well then MC wins. If MC gets knocked out then MMA wins.

Nerchio only needs one matchup in the group stages o.O good chance of him advancing further on !
There is a reason why i keep score, winning is everything, losing isn't.

Zenio is Code S, Puma Code B.

Just wanted to point that out. We´ve gotta be glad that you didn´t pick Socke as the heavy favourite for group A...

GSL is not the same as foreign events. People need to stop referencing GSL standings when talking about foreigner group formats. Code S players are all unarguably good, but time and again we've seen Code S players not perform as well we would expect when they go to an international competition.

When you're talking about an international tournament like this, Puma's record is as about as good as it gets.

It would be so fun if Idra was in Nerchio's place

On a more serious note though, imo tournaments should prevent this from happening. I'd rather see them pre-decide the race distribution of the groups and then draw the players than watch 15 PvPs in a row.

I am actually worried for MC -- as PvP is his weakest matchup at the moment and it is an unpredictable one. His group is filled with Protoss.
