With ever more handsome Liquid players sporting the official TL shirt at events, we decided it was about time we released another batch to the public.
Batch 3 is now sold out!

Before you guys rush to set yet another record sell-out time (10 hours the last time around) we have an important piece of news:
We are planning to design and release a new official TeamLiquid player shirt in early 2012, at which point the current design will be phased out. Knowing that, some of you might want to hold off buying the current shirt. At the same time, we know some of you are still in love with the present design, or have an interest in collecting e-Sports items. So we would like to gauge your opinions before we decide on whether or not this will be the final batch of 2011 shirts.

The shirts cost $25.00 plus shipping and handling.
There are approximately 1,000 available now and there may be more available later depending on interest in acquiring them. Shirts are sold first come first serve, so order today if you want one. Please verify your address in PayPal before buying. A number of buyers from earlier batches had their shirts returned as undelivered due to incorrect or outdated shipping information in their PayPal profile.

The team shirts are printed on Anvil t-shirts. If anything they are slightly bigger than I'm used to, I usually wear medium but a small was a better fit for me.

I'm going to be perfectly honest, the team Liquid shirt is in my opinion the ugliest of all the progaming shirts that I have seen. I actually can't think of one that I think looks worse.
Its a shame that all the inferior teams have such professional looking jerseys while this one looks a design put together in MS paint on a really bad looking blue shirt.

It's about time! I bought a shirt in the last batch and wear it all the time. It looks great in public and my wife even demanded I buy one for her lol! So this shall be one of her Christmas presents for sure :-D

If you continue making this version of the shirt, I think all subsequent batches should be DIFFERENT from the original 3 batches in some way. So that it's identifiable that the current owners have the "1st edition" version of the shirts. Something like that

Hey, the TL shirts aren't on American Apparel. That little note about AA shirts is for the designs we sell ourselves. The TL shirts are "standard" size, rather than the more fitted style that of American Apparel tees.

I wouldn't say it's ugly, but it's certainly more understated. The TL horse is quite a bit smaller than the other teams' logos, and the teamliquid text is also subtle.
EG's shirts have lots of graphics and lines going everywhere. Dignitas, compLexity, Quantic, (I'm sure other teams do too, but these are just the ones off the top of my head), all have the logo quite large and prominent on their shirt.
I think the TL short could benefit from a more dynamic design, not flashy for flashy sake, but more...

To whom it may concern,
Even when I change my shipping options the UK and that is reflected on the Shipping and Handling, in my payment options it still has the NA shipping options, i.e. it only recognizes US states, does not let me enter a different country and recommends a US phone number.
I mean, I can probably just try to process it with my English information, but some substantiated infromation would be nice. In pm would be awesome, but will be checking the site.
And praying that I get something before it is sold out. <3

I don't know where to post this or if it is even possible but since these new shirts came in it reminded me of my problem. When the last set of shirts was sent out I ordered one and never received it. I was wondering is it even worth it to contact teamliquid again (i already did but with no response) about this shirt or should I just take it as a loss and move on and accept the postal service failures?

Honestly for me, I think its the unreadable small white on blue text on the shoulders. Not only does it look terrible and look out of place, but you can't even read it and on players it just kind of ...gah...so bad looking.

Or it could be that the logo is centered with an advertisement centered below it... honestly... It just needs a complete re-design, not salvageable.

Okay, ordered my 2, I'm so excited again haha! For everyone who wasn't lucky enough to get one of these before, they are awesome quality shirts and look really nice to tell you the truth. Please contact us with your order number using the contact us link at the bottom. Before releasing new batches I personally go through all the outstanding shipping / order problems from the last batch and make sure everything has been resolved. If I somehow missed yours I apologize, but we'll do our best to fix it if you get in touch with us.

Here in the US they sell cards called MoneyPak. You can exchange cash to be put on the card (5 service fee) then you can add the funds to paypal. I don't know if they have that in Canada though, so best of luck.
Edit: I think paypal might have a spending limit though. I have not used it, just be wary.

I am 5'11 - 170 pounds - I like shirts that fit - which is why a lot of my shirts are M size lots of the large shirts are 2 big/loose

Actually an amazing idea for the new TL shirts would be:
-have each teamliquid progamer choose a picture/starcraft icon/whatever they feel symbolizes them the best or just something they really like as a design on the front, along with the teamliquid name
-and in the back of the shirt, have the players name and a giant teamliquid logo
Doing something like this would really personalize the shirts to the player, it could work pretty well and would suit the player well

A size reference: I'm about 5'11 and 185 lbs and own a large shirt since the last batch. It fits me perfectly and I've washed it numerous times and wear it often. It's an awesome shirt and even my wife loves it lol (whom I just purchased one for).

@naranja I really don't notice any shrinking to be honest. I'm sure it's possible that it has a tiny bit, not noticeable though for me at least.

Streaming varies a lot by country. Sometimes it's 2-3 days in the US, sometimes it's taken 2+ months. Just today we had someone who only just received their shirt from the last batch.

Mediums are currently sold out, this is mostly due to the fact that the previous batch had more Medium than Large and it's the reverse for this batch. There are still plenty of Large in stock.

If it weren't for the fact that most of my clothes fit me properly I'd seriously consider lifting weights and feasting until I properly fit into a large shirt. Please print more of these in Medium in the future. I ask not just for my sake, but for every person walking around with a Medium shirt, lest they risk having their shirt torn from their back.

Congratz on your purchase first of all, it feels awesome wearing it and especially to an event like that :-D Also I actually took 2 of my friends with me to MLG Orlando this past weekend who have either never played SC2 or have played but very infrequently. They both had a blast and it was even more fun for me since I could explain who was who and keep each other up to date on what was going on in the tourny etc.

Plus in a way they can get extra revenue from sponsors by asking for more money since they are going to have their name on thousands of shirts so its a win win. That point has been brought up many many times before. They haven't released any info on their upcoming jersey for 2012 but perhaps it will have some more sponsor stuff on it since it's something so many people have discussed a desire for in the past.

It would probably double (or more) the cost of production and greatly reduce the number of suppliers able to produce them. It also may be that no one would be willing to produce such a small batch of a shirt that requires manual labor. I think it would be more realistic to just sell the patch separately and let people buy them and sew them on.
Of course I may be completely off on this...

One of the reasons there aren't more is simply because of the technical challenges in producing these shirts. In order to get it right, each shirt is done by hand. There is a slight lack of uniformity in a case of blank shirts, like in the way the shoulder seam is creased, the diameter of the neck hole, and the presence of deep creases where artwork needs to be.
That means the shoulder prints, which have a very precise location, have to be aligned uniquely for each shirt. What this also means is that we can't simply screenprint straight to the shirt. Instead, we screenprint the plastisol inks onto transfer paper, which allows us to then cut the transfer paper and position the cutout graphics properly to each shirt's unique dimensions. Once we have the graphics where we want them, we use a pneumatic heat press to get the ink to the shirt.
Here's a short video of the process and you can find a bit more info/pictures on the teesey.com blog. Also feel free to ask me here if you have any questions about how the shirts are made or the process behind them.
I hope this is interesting to some of you and goes some way to explain why making more is easier said than done.

Just out of curiosity why do TL never buy a larger stocks? I can see that nearly the whole 1000 batch has been sold ( only a few large sizes left), doesn't it make more sense to do a big bulk order, since its pretty obvious that if you can sell about a 1000 in what a day or 2? but a stock of 5+ and will only last less than month and a lot more people get the shirts??

On the store they should of said that US size for large is actually EU x-large. I bought a large now im told it is x-large. TL fix this because 50% of your customers are from EU!!

And yes, you measure the circumference of your chest from just under your armpit. If you are 43" around, then you would be a size large, as you can see on the chart, etc.

There is plenty of suppliers worldwide who could supply you with ammount and quality t-shirts u need ! Especially if the stock is hot like fresh baguette ( It's not like its not worth the extra effort to get a new supplier ) ! Most of people don't even bother with clicking store anymore cuz those shirts are always sold out !

Why dont you get another place to get the tshirts done? Ive printed 250 shirts for my band and they were done in a week here in Costa Rica in a really small place with more orders to cover, with mold method (dont know the exact translation) , which came out pretty damn awesome. Dont mean to be rude, just throwing advice out there. I am almost certain they can pull out like 600 per week

The shirts are handmade, so making 5k would take at least a year. And on top of that, they're busy, so TL would have to balance their schedule out from making the shirts and whatever it is that they do.

You should have received an email to your PayPal email immediately after payment confirming receipt of your order. Soon you will receive another one confirming your order is being sent for processing, and finally you will receive a shipping notification with tracking number once it ships.
If you didn't receive your email yet, it's possible you paid with e-check in which case the email will be sent once the payment has cleared.

thanks for your info but i didn't receive any e-Mail with another confirmation besides the one i got from paypal. my payment was delayed because i needed to transfer some cash from my bank account to paypal first. so i received the paypal-payment confirmation on 21st of October, but i started the transaction on the 19th.

There was a processing delay at our distributor, only today did a large number of the orders make it into their system. They should ship either Friday or Monday / Tuesday. We're sorry for the delay and will look into what happened and try to fix it so it doesn't happen again.

Some orders will be delayed until we can get more shirts shipped to our distributor. Just got mine and wearing it at work, everybody has to know about it! ^^ It's slightly oversized but fits kinda okey with another tshirt under it.
