GL with your new team HuK. I hope the best for you, bro ♥

@ Team Liquid:
Don't give up. Even if HuK is leaving you are still a top team and will keep on winning major events, for sure!

Expect a drop in wins ratio from Huk. Going from training in oGs house to EG house is a significant downgrade. Not looking good for Huk in term of practice quality...

except he is staying in korea and practicing with IdrA and Puma who are very good players.

Not to mention he will still probably practice with the oGs guys from time to time

I imagine he will keep his practice partners but you cant really say idra/puma are better than the OGS house =/

You could make the case that Puma is better then any terran in the oGs house.

Idra probably better then most zergs in the oGs house since zenio moved out.

His PvP might suffer but i would imagine he is still on good terms with MC and inca if he needs to practice PvP

what? 1 Puma, someone who failed to qualify for GSL is better than Nada, TOP, Ensnare, SuperNova and TheStC? All Code S regulars?

And IdrA's zerg knowledge won't really be as beneficial as he is losing TheWind as a coach.

Nada doesn't live in the oGs house. and Puma is known to be a practice beast. when Flash picks someone as a practice partner you know that they are a good person to pratice with.

Puma also won NASL beating several codes quality players

But this isn't Brood War. You don't know shit about how good of a practice partner PuMa is in SC2.

So will we have the chance to see HuK and IdrA 2v2 in the master's cup? Cause that would be pretty cool I think.

I mean, I feel like I should be angry. But...Liquid is so manner. So goddamn manner that I just can't. GG Huk, congrats.

Good Luck HuK!

But I have to say I'm pretty disappointed. I'm not a fan of EG and really don't like hypeing an event like this.

To be fair, its the communities fault it got hyped as much as it did.

Although I do think that something like this shouldn't be hyped at all. Speculation is fine, but this got ridiculous. IMA MISS YOU HUK!

It's so sad that teams like EG even get to the point where they can "buy" players away from another team and even friendship can't hold it back... what succes did they have to be sponsored as much as they are ? Why can't be liquid on their place, because they would deserve it so much more =( it's really depressing me to see how friendship and alle the time they spent together just doesn't matter anymore, when only the right amount of money comes in =(

However, the offer that he received from EG wasn't just significant, it was potentially life-changing.

If thats the case, i think he made the right decision.

You wont play forever, and as good as a team liquid might be, there is just a point where you _have_ to make such a decision and take the money.

We'll, i'm happy for HuK and def excited to see both, HuK and IdrA, compete in Korea.

Will be interesting to see how much the "loss" of the oGs training-environment will effect HuK in the future.

This works out well. I hated Huk since he was an arrogant prick back in beta, continued to hate him and now he joins my most hated team. Good news for me.

Huk, best of luck in the future. I started to play Starcraft II after I watched you play on liverstream. The crazy saves, the ridiculous micro, the originality, etc. It was amazing to watch you play for Liquid, no other team could compare. It's sad to see you go.. best of luck Huk... keep drawing those hearts for all of us fans. gl hf

I'm really sad for TL. They loose their most successful player. I hope HuK will stay the nice guy and the great player he is !

I'm kinda curious how he and IdrA will get along living together.

People tend to forget that Liquid did the exact same thing last year when Huk went from Millenium to TL.

But because it's EG, his fanboys are QQing

Does anyone here not follow other sports?

When a talented player's contract runs out, there's always a bidding war. 99% of the time they go to the team who's willing to pay them the most. Everyone involved understands a business and the fact that it's nothing personal. In fact, when your favorite team loses a star player, people are angry at the team for not paying them what they're worth, not the player.

If anything, people should be happy that esports has grown up enough that something like this can even happen. The fact that EG's willing to pay HuK enough money to make him not resign with Liquid means it's probably pretty significant, and I'm all for any SC2 player getting that kind of a significant salary. It doesn't matter what team they're on.

Way to go HuK for making a good decision as far as your own life is concerned. Fanboy backlash or not, financial security is damn important.

Way to go EG for pushing esports forward. The more you're willing to pay players, the more other teams will have to start paying their own players in order to keep them around. It's a good thing for everyone in the scene.

Yes, and respectable players usually stay with their teams. It's not like Liquid is a low tier team...

It's the same reason people hate mancity, madrid etc.

Just look at how Nasri left Arsenal compared to Fabregas.

HuK really seems comparable to Nasri for me.

Nasri had 1/2 a good season and now he left them to get more money even though Arsenal bought him, trained him ,made him into who he is today even though he was only getting 10% more wages

Maybe that's true in football (because let's be honest that's really what soccer should be called...)

But in baseball and American football respectable players leave their teams all the time. Even home grown players.

Nice write-up. Good luck to HuK in EG.

I can't understand the haters and complainers in this case.
