Liquid`HuK | TSL_Revival
P1 Game 1 - Crossfire SE Z7 + Show Spoiler [Show Recap] +The game opens standard for both players, with HuK going sentry warpgate expand while Revival opens speedling expand. Revival pokes around with some speedlings and upon scouting Huk's warping expansion nexus, immediately techs to roaches and burrow. Presumably Revival saw Huk's sentry heavy composition in his Ro32 match and felt a fast 2-base burrow roach attack would be stroke. Huk hallucinates a few rounds of phoenixes to scout, but completely misses Revival's large roach army advancing up the left side of the map. This results in Huk chasing a small roach group down the center of the map while a larger roach army breaks Huk's front cannons, denying him detection. With no cannons and a late observer, Huk cannot kill Revival's initial group of burrowed roaches. This allows Revival to have a nice firing arc on Huk's units, and when Huk's forcefield energy runs out, he is forced to GG. [11:10] P12 Game 2 - Terminus RE Z6 + Show Spoiler [Show Recap] +The players spawn cross positions. Huk opens forge expand while Revival opens speedling expand. After chasing off Huk's probe, Revival cancels the hatchery and puts down a roach warren for a fast roach bust. When Revival's roaches arrive at Huk's natural, they see two cannons and sentries defending. Revival pushes forward while Huk desperately attempts to warp in more defensive units and buildings. Huk drops some clutch forcefields and barely holds the rush. Revival retreats and attempts to double expand, but only has half of Huk's worker count. Huk waits for observer and +1 weapons before moving out, and his army is just too large for Revival to defend. [12:11] P5 Game 3 - Shakuras Plateau Z7 + Show Spoiler [Show Recap] +Huk opens nexus before forge even though Revival opens pool first. However, Revival only makes two lings and Huk walls himself in before they can enter his natural. Huk transitions into warpgates and robo while Revival immediately takes a third base. Huk moves out with stalker sentry but is forced to retreat by large roach numbers. Revival takes a fourth base and successfully contains Huk on two bases with his roach army. Huk finally moves out after getting blink and several immortals, and successfully eliminates most of the roach army with some nice forcefields and a blink that shields his immortals. However, Revival again forces Huk to retreat with huge numbers of reinforcing speedlings. Huk is forced to cancel his third base and wait for storm before moving out again. By the time Huk finally pushes out to take his third, Revival has four bases and is almost on hive tech. Huk, now distance mining, lands two storms on burrowed lings and finally secures his third base. The armies engage again, and Huk comes out on top with some nice storms. Revival techs to hive and broodlords while putting a ton of spine crawlers in the center. Huk responds by taking his fourth base. Both players have maxed armies at this point and just jockey for position without fully engaging. Revival counters around the top lane, forcing Huk's army to come back and defend. Revival's broodlords start attacking Huk's third, supported by roaches, lings, and four infestors. Huk sees this with an obs and engages perfectly, using feedback on three of the infestors and forcing the broodlords to retreat using blink stalkers. No longer ahead and facing a split-map situation, Revival makes a critical error and switches tech trees to ultralisks. The ultras just get completely rolled by Huk's archon and immortal heavy army composition. Huk then just eliminates Revival's last two mining bases and completes the comeback. [31:30]
TLAF-Liquid`HuK Post Game Interview Image by Playxp Congrats. That was a close one! I can't believe I didn't lose, lol. Let's revisit the games. In the first game your units were out of position when the burrowed roaches attacked. I scouted I think twice or three times with double phoenix hallucinations to see what he was up to, and for some reason at some point he sent like 10-12 roaches to the left without my phoenixes catching them. So I had no idea he produced that many. Just an unlucky scout I guess, and he hit some kind of timing where I didn't catch them producing or moving out, so I underestimated how much he was all-ining. In Game 2, he canceled his natural hatchery to do a fast roach rush. Many people thought you were dead, was your build prepared to defend that type of rush?Well, my build is decent against it, luckily I put two cannons instead of one. In practice games I lost to this all-in often just because sometimes I'm too confidence in my micro without having enough units to actually micro with. Did you sense the rush coming? What went through your mind when you saw his roaches?I had no idea what he was doing and I scouted with my probe so I figured he was just going to play macro game from behind, but knowing his fast gas opening I was nervous about some kind of all-in (baneling, nydus, roach, whatever). I didn't think to much when he actually attacked beyond "oh shit". What was your mindset before Game 3?I actually wasn't that nervous and just wanted to get into it and get started. Kind of was hoping he would try to all-in me again. You chose not to go colossus tech, but your opponent limited you to two bases for a very long time. What were your thoughts during Game 3? Did you know how behind you were?I'm not sure lol, you tell me... I felt really really behind though. My mid game was horrible, I thought I was dead, but I wanted to keep fighting anyways. What put Revival ahead that game? What allowed you to come back?He had really good timing as far as when he could drone hard and when/how many units he had to produce to defend. Then after that he just controlled the map well and covered most of my outs. What allowed me to come back was my army composition was way more cost effective then colossus/stalker and harder to win battles against with just a-moving. Were you worried when you saw the broodlords? Were you surprised when he stopped making them and continued to make ultralisks?I was really worried when I saw them, but once I saw what position he was in and what he was trying to do with the infestors I thought I could micro and win a battle despite being way behind. I wasn't that surprised because although they did damage, I don't think they did as much damage as he hoped. But making ultralisks definitely was a mistake for how many immortals and archons I had. You smiled and winked at the camera after the win, did the ceremony mean anything special? It seemed like you were not worried for a second despite the close call in Game 3.I only did that celebration because my friends wanted me to do the wink and cocky smile, then some other friends wanted me to do troll face so I tried to combine them both and have fun with it. So shout-out to Reborn / and my girls . Other then that it had no meaning. I was definitely behind Game 3 and it was a comeback -- I was as worried as everyone else I'm sure. You seem to have an interesting friendship with John the translator. Are you guys good friends? He asks you some pretty funny questions.I don't know about good friends, I'll let John make that distinction if he wants. But we're definitely friends and I'm glad we both can provide nice interviews lol. The camera caught you calling him a troll. What is he like outside the translator booth? We joke around all the time he always wants me to lose so he doesn't have to show up to Code A to do his job, lol. Other than that, we've had some interesting phone calls, hes a great guy though, very real and fun. You also mentioned in the interview that Rainbow's girlfriend was attractive. Do you like the Korean girls?Haha, well that comment is more of a kind of inside joke when I first got to Korea between me, Cella, Boxer's wife, Rainbow, and Rainbow's girlfriend, but he knows it all in good fun. But seriously, she is a cutie. Yes, Korean girls are very cute. Who is the best with the girls in the oGs / Liquid house?I don't know who is the best to be honest. I haven't seen all their game yet, only some. You are now one step closer to your goal of winning Code A. Your next round opponent is Losira, who looked very dominant in his series against August.Me and Losira have a lot of ladder history and are friends so it should be interesting. If he hatches before pool I hope he worked on his drone defense vs cannons because I've had a lot of drunk and crazy games versus him on stream yelling into mic and such lol. I'm really happy he won and I have been cheering for him. It should be interesting games. Any last words for your fans?Of course always, I love you so much thank you for all your support... I appreciate everything. My friends and family also thank you so much. Keep fighting!
Next: More action in Code S Round of 16 and Code A Round of 8
TLAF-Liquid`Jinro faces off against HongUnPrime.WE in the Code S Round of 16. Also, TLAF-Liquid`HuK's run in Code A continues against IM.Losira.

Good job Huk! I hope You will win Code A Liquid fighting!!
|
Those games blew my mind, the second one was an amazing hold but after Huk held it was easy to see he was going to win. The third game though oh man i have never been so nervous watching a game in a long time. Well played by Huk in the late game, he kept calm and just played it out very well done.
|
Huk Fighting!! Next stop number 1!
|
Yay HuK!!!! That was such a close series. I can't wait for his series against Losira..

Grats to Huk. As great as he feels Revival must be absolutely crushed after losing like that.

great interview as always, HB

lol.... TSL_Revival just shot himself in the head... twice... Props to HuK for capitalizing the best he could and micro'ing his way to utterly obliterating the disembowled TSL_Revival...
|
that, ladies and gentlemen, is a fucking baller he'll prolly have losira in his pocket in the next round

Great interview, and a great win. Congrats, HUK FIGHTING!!!!

Wrecking Code A. After he wins Code A, he'll win Code S. He is really shutting all the non believers up.
|
Keep winning HuK and ull soon have ure korean fan girls! GL

Intense games from Huk. Not the most dominating play, but glad to see him move in to the next round. Hope to see some exciting games vs Losira.

They don't do a foreigner special for players who lost.
|
|
Haha, Losira would probably dance his lings around and lose again.
|
Go HuK! Good luck vs Losira!
|
gooooooooo huk!
p.s. anyone got a picture of rainbow's gf? lol
|
This series was one of the most entertaining I've seen yet. HuK has serious claims to best forcefield micro, after games 2 and 3. Here's to a strong up and down qualifying run!
Bonus points for the interview, too
|
Great job, almost gave all of us multiple heartattacks during game 3! Really, really happy it went well. Funniest gomtv interview I have seen and heard. Thanks for the foreigner special, and good luck in RO8, HuK!
|
HuK is so nice, and he just keeps getting nicer. Epicly pleased about the result<3

I'm pretty sure they did.
Haypro and Idra had a special, where one of them lost and the other wasn't even present.
|
|
HuuuuK!
Lol, I also think it´s hilarious that it looks to me like HuK is gonna pretty much single handedly dispatch the zerg hope all the way till the finals. Considering there´s only 2 zergs left to give them hope I mean, and HuK´ll slay them both. (I believe Leenock can beat virus).
|
So happy to see that HuK won his game. I just wish I realized that he was playing, I would have tried harder to wake up to watch them.
Great foreigner special as always. Thanks!
|
F*** HuKs haters (incontrol)

HuK Fighting! I thought he was dead for sure :o
Isn't that supposed to be "They told me I could become anything... so I became an earthworm"???
Anyway grats Huk, didn't think you could do it. With Ganzi out, Losira is prolly the hardest opponent you'll face.
|
Game 3 was pretty awesome. He should've lost but he played really well to come back (and his opponent made some pretty big mistakes but hey, it happens).
Not the most dominant performance ever but I'm sure he'll take it.
P.S : Seeing HuK talk about the guys' "game" made me lol. Now I want to see a girl take the walk of shame out of a progamer house. Heck they all sleep in like 2-3 rooms so that would be awkward.
|
HuK and Johns interview was so good :D But can anyone explain this answer/question for me? :O
"Who is the best with the girls in the oGs / Liquid house?"
I don't know who is the best to be honest. I haven't seen all their game yet, only some.
|
The man speaks truth, Korean girls are cuties lol. Congrats to Huk :D what a nice interview.
|
Game 2 and 3 were really impressive. Thought at some point in game 3 he could never win, but good job by Huk and I hope he wins code A.
|
One Thing...everyone should definitely see the last game...seriously....it was great. Coming back from the dead, Huk made his way to victory.
Owowwwww i'd hope to see more good games like this !!!
|
HUK HUK HUK HUK HUKKKKK!!!
GO U GOOD THING, DESTORY THEM ALLL!!!
GLGLGL
|
I count 5 "lol" in his interview. Huk seems to be a funny, humored guy.
Nice to see the games from Huk's perspective. They seemed as nerve racking through his eyes as they were through the observer view. It really makes us appreciate how close Huk was to losing in all the games, with the difference being just one or two cannons and maybe some nice FFs.
Also, it's cool to see Huk be friends with so many people in the Korean SC2 scene. I guess being friends with Cella, Rainbow, his GF, Boxer's GF, and Losira is a nice skill toi have.
|
Great write up as always, GL to Huk!
|
Great series and interview HuK. Keep going, PvZ you got this!
|
Great job HuK! gl in the next round
P.S: Huk has got to be one of the top 3 players in the world when it comes to crisis management and keeping his cool. Amount of times ive seen him come back from impossible games on his stream, and today in code A, its unreal.
|
What exactly did Incontrol (and JP ?) say about HuK?
|
you need top 3 control to be able to win games like that hehe
gj HuK

|
awesome job by huk gzgz. Losira is a beast though it's gonna be so hard for huk(or anyone) to take him.

Good job bro! Keep it up. I'll keep cheering and tuning in!

I'm confidant that HuK can win it all!
Go HuK !

Nice job Huk, I really liked your unit comp in game three. You pulled out a hell of a win. I guess I am kind of curious though...if HuK makes it to Code S, will he stay in Korea or come home for the NASL? >.>

I think the main reason why IdrA left was because he didn't have a teamhouse with practice partners. Liquid does, so I think that Huk will be staying there : ]

Watched Huk play Losira on ladder streamed so many times.
They are about 50/50, but if Losira hits a good 2 base timing with roach, Huk will be in trouble.
Nevertheless, HUKFIGHTING!

Great interview, Korean girls are cute! Keep your eyes on the prize Huk, you've got what it takes to go all the way. Some of the most exiting games I've ever seen. Thanks for the shout out

omfg game 3 was SICK!!!.... does the winner of code a get to pick who he plays in the up/down matches?
|
huk fighting! Those games yesterday were awesome, game 3 especially. You have no idea how refreshing it was to see some PvZs without them completely revolving around the stalker/collossus ball 100% of the time xD
|
find myself rooting more for huk than jinro. you can take it easy now that youre in up/down or y'know win code a.
|
So this means no matter what HuK has a chance at code S now? ^.^
This has been such a wonderful day.
|
Every time HuK does an interview or trolls koreans on stream, I start to like him a little bit more.
Needless to say, at this point he's a complete fucking baller. Now go on State of the Game .
Oh, and YOURE SUCH A TROLL!
|
good interview.. scared for him against Losira though ~
|
Great games HuK! You had me sweating in game 3 but it was a great comeback...
He's in the up/down matches for sure now, but with some of the incredibly strong players from Code S (MvP, NeSTea, MarineKing) that have been knocked down into up/down matches he probably shouldn't take it easy and try to advance so he can pick a pretty weak group.
|
|
HuK you're the best! <3 such a solid player and so handsome... I hope you win Code A!
|
I just want to say , i think the last game , was one of the best games ive ever seen :OOO i was on the edge of my seat the whole time.

THIS is why you're my favorite player, even though you're not the same race as me. Keep up the redonkulous playing and the awesome attitude and I'll keep getting up at that ungodly hour to watch you.
:D I bet those poor code S boys in the U/D are just shaking right now knowing one of them has to play you.
|
Game three was simply amazing by HuK. I thought they were no way for him to come back, but he did it!
|
Make it to the finals HuK! Go go Code S!!!
|
Really shutting up all the haters and showing them you can do it. Game three is the front page of your portfolio as being a pro gamer. absolutely magnificent. I love the write up. Its so flattering for huk :D Canada Protoss!
|
Oh yeah, congratulations HuK!
Awesome interview by the way
|
|
wow he so lucky. How does he keep getting zergs?
|
I watched the matches on GOMtv first thing this morning and it was awesome. It really looked like he was done in Game 2. I think Tasteless had it right -- the zerg player was a little sloppy (it looked like he could take the forge out and get in) but Huk played beautifully to defend and then exploit those very small inaccuracies until he could turn it around.
I was on the edge of my seat the whole Game 3 like everybody else. Fantastically stubborn refuse-to-lose play by Huk until he got the game in hand. Seems like we always see the great players play their way out of a situation like that where you're left wondering if they are just unkillable -- I'm thinking of games by IMMvP and oGsMC in previous GSL's where you just couldn't believe they weren't dead (also the famous "1 zergling" game by IMNesTea). He said his mind game was in bad shape, but it looked like he kept himself right where he needed to be to hang in and gradually turn it around.
Also, I really like hearing about the interactions among the players so I hope those kinds of questions come up more in the interviews. I'd like to hear more about the meta-game of pro gaming in Korea.
For example, some things I wish I knew:
1. Is Huk training with oGsMC? Tastosis mentioned they were buddies and there are definite similarities in playing style (force field micro, ftw). If they are pushing each other to improve, you might expect to see both of them going very deep in their brackets.
2. Relatedly, Jinro is playing v. protoss tonight. Is Huk helping him prepare for that? Having really top protoss around to practice against would seem to be a huge advantage. Of course, Jinro and MC face each other next if they both win...
3. All the other foreigners seem to be getting roflstomped out of Code A and often looking to be a bit off their games. Is it hard to prepare to play in those boxes on the stadium? Maybe only Huk and Jinro have so far found the comfort zone to be able to execute on stage?
Huk talking about hanging with Boxer and Rainbow was very interesting. I'd imagine that you have to feel like part of the community out there to be able to stay and play your best. I wonder if not feeling like part of the community was a big part of why Idra moved back to the US.
|
Great job for HuK. Totally had me nervous game 2 and 3 and I didn't wake up at 3:30 in the morning to see him lose!
Keep it up, like a boss.

No he didn't, all he said was that his PvZ in the last round was really vulnerable to certain builds.

So, I guess we should expect a post game ceremony after each series win then?

psh.. nvm then. ty for info

It will be really interesting to see how the up/down matches will go. I am guessing Huk vs MvP, then SlayersBoxer if he looses the first match. :p
|
Game 3 turned out great, but I think it was Revival's loss more than HuK's win honestly. It's a good thing he too made a mistake of habit and switched to ultralisks even though Huk didn't over-produce stalkers.
I'm glad he's through and all, but I think he needs to step it up a bit if he wants to survive the next round. I think there were several opportunities for Revival to counter-attack undefended expos that he didn't take. That's not something you can keep counting on :/
I'm not trying to pretend I know the game better than Huk here, it's just Observer's Advantage.
|
Game 3 gave me geekchills when I watched it. Thank you HuK, I hope you fight your way through the entire code A bracket with the same resolve.
|
I loved hearing he won after only seeing game 1. Good luck with the women over there, he's twice as exotic as me, we're both white and but he's a pro gamer!
|
Haha HuK, playing on the drunk... what a hero <3
|
YES nice! Hurray :D
When I was reading Game 3 I was like, oh no... 4 base vs 2 base... no... but from the tone of the writing I could tell he would make a comeback .
|
I think one question was missing from the interview:
Now that Huk has qualified for the Up & Down matches, I'd like to see his thoughts on the Code S upsets that he'll have to face as competition for the to spots.
|
I'd say incontrol is eating his words now, but he'd enjoy that.
|
Just finished the vods, that were some really nice games. Very close, but nice win!
|
On March 03 2011 05:40 Brotatolol wrote: I'd say incontrol is eating his words now, but he'd enjoy that. What, why? Huk didn't even try and do that weird timing attack that Inc or Nony didn't like, and I don't think Inc ever said Huk wouldn't make it. Idra's tthe one who said Huk wouldn't be successful.
|
Hell yea Huk win that Code A dawg!
|
Tiny little bits of begrudging respect started to come into Idra's mentions of Huk a while ago, I can see them one day riding a Hybrid horseling off into the sunset together.
|
Awesome Hukkkuuu!! Wish I could have stayed up for the games, but this recap was awesome! Thanks again for the quick work Hot_Bid!
|
Well whatever happens next HuK at least has a shot at code S. If he wins the tournament he gets to stack the deck in his favor, but at the very least he has a way in.
That being said there are going to be some brutal Up/Down groups. FD/Genius, Boxer/NesTea, Inca/MKP, and MVP's group because the of the team-kill potential as well as the almost certain loss to MVP.

Great game even though the trouble HuK were in made it less convincing, I'm a little worried he'll loose if he face opponents who makes less mistakes. Good luck in the next games HuK, hope you go all the way!

omg, I cant believe that he won. I actually went to sleep when he looked so behind. But wow XD

With Idra gone there appears to be an open spot in code S. Meaning that who ever wins just picks Idra and gets auto upgraded to Code S.
At least i think thats how it would work.

exactly
people misquote or don't understand incontrol so much. i feel sorry because you are not getting the most out of his sense of humor.
anyways, huk showing some impressive micro and determination to win. game 3's comeback was pretty absurd although helped by some bad zerg decisions, but huk played really well in the later game. really hope he can make it all the way, he deserves it after all the work he has been putting in.

Who is the best with the girls in the oGs / Liquid house?
I don't know who is the best to be honest. I haven't seen all their game yet, only some
Details, please.

Never give up! Never surrender!

Happy that HuK won but it feels like Revival made the mistakes that let him win.

he had some choice words about huk's play style. like always doing the same thing (zealot/sentry) and asking idra kind of redundantly if he still loses to it anymore. wasn't that big of a deal. I'm more disappointed in idra who just kept talking shit calling him a "little loser" and w/e
|
Huk's comeback was so lucky, I thought without collosus he would be toast, his high immmortal and blink stalker counter really countered Revival. However I feel Revival could have easily closed the game out and made many mistakes.
Well he's made it to up and down but winning Code A would help a lot seeing as there are so many amazing players in the up and down.

I was almost crying in game three and when he won i was walking around my house saying to myself, "how did he win that game?"

I love how people keep winning unwinnable games lately. GO HUK

Who doesn't love Huk, seriously??? The guy is amazing!
He is funny, honest, and is a freaking BEAST!!! Plus, he always provides good entertainment for the viewers. And the fact that he can hang out with players like Cella, Rainbow and Boxer himself, kinda shows that he is well integrated in the SC2 community, which is good news for everyone. He and Jinro are really great ambassadors for the foreigners in Korea.
Oh, and the "you are such a troll!" to John (yet another awesome guy) at the end of the interview is priceless! :D

is it just me or does HuK look like Han Solo? :D

Yeah Huk was the deciding factor in wether or not I got a season ticket.... I'm glad he hasnt let me down yet

Me and Losira have a lot of ladder history and are friends so it should be interesting. If he hatches before pool I hope he worked on his drone defense vs cannons because I've had a lot of drunk and crazy games versus him on stream yelling into mic and such lol. I'm really happy he won and I have been cheering for him. It should be interesting games.
LOLLLLLLL you guys should take shots before you play live.
GOOD JOB HUK!!
|
Congratulations, Huk! Comeback games are always entertaining, and Game 3 was one of the most amazing I've ever seen.
Good luck in the next round!
|
Huk won game 3 fair and square, no void ray or collossus shenanigans. Thanks for the interview.

The games were shaky, but with another zerg coming up, I'm sure HuK is more ready than ever.
|
damn good games ^_^ Grats and GL vs losira.
|
Great job HuK! Hwaiting, hope you get into code S in the up-down matches, despite the ridiculous amount of good players that will be there.
Also, anyway explain this incontrol = non-believer story?? Did he say anything about HuK's chances? lol

so last night i logged on to gom randomly for the first time in nearly a month and just happened to catch this entire series! i thought for sure huk had lost game 2, and was 100% certain he had lost game 3, but omg huk is a fighter and was very calm and made an amazing comeback! good luck huk! would love to see you make it in to code S eventually :D
p.s. bahahaha @ huks troll face!

Take it elsewhere. Your post is effectively off topic.
Bravo to HuK... Never doubted you once... Not even when there was 12 roaches smashing your face in when you only have 2 Sentries..... Not.... At... Alll :S
Seriously well played from that point, sir.

These interviews are awesome. I love the personality in the players xD...go Huk!

Hell yeah! So great to see Huk doing well he really deserves it, especially since he got unlucky so many times in the past

On March 03 2011 04:22 Drlemur wrote: I watched the matches on GOMtv first thing this morning and it was awesome.
Firstly, I don't have ANY sources except my knowledge (take is as you will...... :S )
Liquid and oGs sharing a house would allow the top tier foreigners train with the top tier Koreans. I would be shocked if MC and HuK arn't refining their FF placements, etc. Also, we know from a couple of seasons ago that MC and Jinro are very close friends. This is why oGs, and Jinro can be so consistent. With more and more time in Korea, it seems its only a waiting game until HuK gets into Code S. He has the mechanics and the game sense to be one of the very best. I think once he goes through the oGs-Liquid-house machine, be afraid... Be very afraid...
|
SO glad HuK won, can't wait for him to win code A so he can dominate code S next season :D

amazing games!! huk is amazing!!

HELL YES. HUK HWAITING. I hope he beats Losira as badass as Losira is.

lol at the korean girls part!

Congrats Huk, WP. Code A is tough this season, but you're doing great so far.
I see only one problem ahead if you indeed get that far; the up and down matches. MVP, Fruitdealer, BoxeR, Nestea, MarineKing ... omg..
GL Huk.
|
GJ HuK!!! Your games tonight made me so glad I stayed up so late! Very impressive game 2 & 3. Really, I've seen no protoss lacking a colossus/stalker or voidray backbone do so well in a midgame against the Zerg so far in the GSL.
|
Congratulations to HuK but I guess this means no Code S Ro32 special with ManZenith
|
I thought multiple times that HuK was done for last night but he just kept coming back. Congrats to HuK.

GL huk. Most of the time i watch his stream he beats losira. In fact i haven't seen him lose, but lan tournament is obviously a different setting. I foresee a close series.

The most amazing part is he didnt even use the IMBA 2 base collo void ray, Huk must be IMBA! lol but from a zerg i love huk's style, soooo different

Those were some of the most entertaining SC2 games I've seen. Pulling through in a situation like the one in the last game takes balls, and I'm talking about titanium balls frozen to 0 degrees Kelvin here. That shit looks good for the future.
Nerd chills over here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GO HUK
Man I was reading the the game reviews and my heart was pounding at the third game. It sounded bad but Huk came true and won it GG mate GG.
Wishing you the best Huk go win it man.
HUK HWAITIN"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
^ I don't know what that means XD

That was definitely worth staying up for :D
Every time there was an engagement in Game 3, it was THE most nervous I've ever been watching a SC2 game. I was thinking: "Oh noooooo, Huk's about to go out " But I was wrong every time, I just love it when I'm wrong LOL
("hwaiting" means "fighting" in korean, an old BW cheer)

My girlfriend is going to leave me for that picture of Huk.

Huk is the man. Won an almost unwinnable game. it was certainly Revival's game to lose, though. Loved the Wink/grin ceremony. Made me lose it.
Can anyone fill me in on InControl hating Huk? I know he makes fun of his height, but they seemed friendly with each other.
|
I don't think he hates him. I know that on SotG of his stream he talked about his build orders not being that good and either incontrol or idra commented on how he relied on chance too often. They also made fun of him for saying he had top 3 control.
|
HuK is by far the best player in code A in my eyes. He has every chance to win the whole thing. HuK fighting!

Can't believe he came back in game 3, I actually stopped watching when Zerg had mass drones on 4 base with 3k minerals and tons of gas in the bank and 200/200 while HuK was near mining out 2 base with no Colossus, starting his archives, and like 150 supply. In all honesty, I felt it was Zerg's game to lose, and that even I could have beaten HuK at that stage of the game.
|
Great games, great interview! Gogo HuK, code S is doable :D

As for IdrA, it's just IdrA being IdrA, and I doubt he'd recognize HuK until he wins Code A at the very least, heh.

There's no hating going around. Geoff makes fun of really every1, and they gave their opinion about a tactic that huk almost always uses. Think the only1 who has problems with Huk is JP, or the other way around.

Huk a fine example of progamer gentleman material

wow after the write-up of game 3 i had to watch it, cant believe he won that. Zerg really looked inexperienced in that sort of situation, and huk took full advantage of it!

Is huk gay? He sounded gay in the winner interview ?

huk gets 3 pvz's in a row, pretty lucky he has avoided pvp thus far
game 3 was insane with long distance mining from 2 bases and going storm/immortal, really held in there with a superb late game.

Very well played HuK the games were excellent and showed how well you handle the highest level pressure and come out on top Good luck going all the way to code A victory!
|
I just cant believe the game 3..what the f was the Zerg thinking? Huk got lucky that it wasnt someone like July playing vs him that knows when to attack and finish off his opponent..I just dont understand how the Zerg was thinking, he basically let Huk expand freely with time..most guys at a high master lvl would've finished off Huk in that position he was in.
I mean the zerg clearly could throw away 1 or 2 armies and just remake his units so fast I dont get why he didnt do that.
|
Listen you bronze to platinum level newbies. Incontrol DID NOT TALK SHIT ABOUT HUK. He wanted Huk to succeed and do well in the tournament he said that explicitly in state of the game the other week. He critiqued Huk's first GSL game for the crappy opening. Even Huk himself said he played horribly that game so the criticism was fine. I dont understand why you guys are trying to make something out of NOTHING. This has got to stop.
