I want to register but my name has ää`s (my name is räähkä, character code= 841) so it says Error: Your Battle.Net nickname contains invalid characters. Any way around this?

You will be able to change your country affiliation and race from the "My Tournaments" page in the near future. The tournament system is still very much a beta, so if you see something broken or have a feature suggestion, please post in Website Feedback!

Was there some sort of lag with the signup system? One of my team members signed up for this tournament 1-2 hours ago, when there was something like 100 spots open, and is not listed on the page. Was it simply because it took a while to process all of the applications or something like that?

Signups are immediate and he should have got confirmation if the registration was successful.

As of now, all 512 open spots are filled. Some players have signed up without realising this was an EU only tournament, if this is you, a cancel button will be available shortly. People on the waiting list will be moved up to the confirmed list.

NZST time ? if it's on EU server why not EU standard GMT time ?

The time is displayed in whatever you have configured in your profile so it is accurate for your location.

If I may ask,why do most tournaments only use Blizzard maps and not the custom melee maps?I it only because people are used to these maps.
