Our Beta coverage was on semi-hiatus these two weeks, but after a cracker article from Drone we're back with more beta goodness in the form of Sean "Day[9]" Plott's Team Liquid Beta Cast. In Episode 4 he is joined by TL's resident Terran-in-hwaiting Jonathan "FrozenArbiter" Walsh aka Liquid`Jinro, a crazy swede with a penchant for pulling off sick plays.

How to Listen to Ogg Vorbis The format of the podcast has been changed from mp3 to ogg. Here is a list of software that plays ogg on windows, mac and linux. Almost all media players (with the exception of Apple products) will be able to play Vorbis with no additional requirements.

Thanks I really enjoyed this.
Day[9] I have done the mass queen strategy during placement matches and yea it's a lot of fun... also confuses the hell out of your opponent and sometimes makes them feel really bad LOL

That was a super cool podcast guys. I'm going to be definitely playing with more Thors in my game now. Also just to recap? I can't remember but was it US players crying Protoss as to strong in PvT or EU players.

FA has a very strange cadence in addition to his accent. It's like everything he says sounds like it should have a question mark after it, but not in the valley-girl type of way, it's something slightly different.

Well, it's hard to say because it's ever shifting - I think currently it's a bit up in the air as to who is actually favoured in that matchup... Some say Terran, some say Protoss.
But yes, for a while US users were like "P>T" and Euro users thought T>P.
But this is basically from last patch.

US players say or said that P>T but EU players generally think or thought that T>P.

I don't understand how you can make a blanket matchup statement without talking about the maps, but that's me.

Nice cast. I tried that ridiculous 10 gas, 11 rax, 11 fact, 11 port, 11 depot banshee build, and it worked pretty well (although I had to switch to MediMarine + Thors to finish the guy). This podcast taught me a bunch of stuff that I wish was in Liquipedia2!

I was basically listening two Terrans but you never mention maradeur problem which is going in threads. Do you think that they are too cost-effective and doesn't force terran to tech? So much good units like Thors, Raven, banshee, vikings are rarely seen in last TvZ and TvP matches :-(

Next time please add it as a MP3/MP4 as well to make it more easily available for everyone.

There's a reason why we don't have it in mp3, if we can change it in the future we will, but currently we can't.

If you save it with a lower bitrate and sample rate you can save it as an mp3 and it will be just as small as the ogg file. There's really no reason not to save it as mp3/mp4. Ogg is only smaller because it uses (from memory) 22kbps and 32khz by default, whereas most mp3 encoders are set to 128kps and 44.1khz by default.
That said, it's not really a huge problem. A google search turns up perfectly good converters on the front page.
