Fuck i actually thought this was like a real mafia and we could like order hits on people we don't like (namely every staff member in the restaurant I work for). Why can't we play the easy version? That version is mad fun and not so complicated?

I'll rather help chuiu run this game or decide to sign up and play. You'll notice me throughout those links he has there. Unfortunately, the server move also killed the end of mafia 6 (at maplantis) so you guys can't see the end of that. I'll also mention that mafia 7 was insanely epic before it got shutdown, and was on pace to almost triple the length of any previous mafia topic. (we were past page 100, on like day 2). It's QUITE a fun game, and it's also VERY addictive, so be forewarned. I'll likely just run this with chuiu so I can also help explain things to you guys as we go, and better his ability to run the best game possible. Gl Hf guys.

One question, what, exactly is 'night'? There are Teamliquidians from around the world, which means that it's always night for someone. Also, if someone important doesn't log in, or contribute for whatever reason, what happens then?

Night is better described as 'not day'. Basically, after someone is lynched, the day is over and night begins.

During night, people send in their night actions and the mod resolves them all; so scum kill people, doctors protect people, cops investigation etc. Then, once they're resolved, day begins. It can be quite short if everyone gets actions in quickly.

Basically its what Tracil said. Night and Day have no meaning to real life time, they are separate game time and may take days to complete. The shift from night to day and vice versa is simply a representation of different stages of the game where new actions occur.
