But I'm a stupid Jock and have no idea what I'm talking about  tbh you are right but you don’t practice what you preach either the biggest problem I’ve seen in the recent two games I was in, one as mafia and one as town, is that two town groups form and when people as a group lynch into the other town group, they refuse to re-evaluate their stances or reads bc everyone believes they are some infallible mafia god and only after their lynch is had they will begin to think that maybe someone they think is town is actually not mafia. or their lynch is had but they can’t seem to let go that maybe leading a town lynch means your tip top 100% can never be mafia read is perhaps shit and needs to be re evaluated ofc this doesn’t exclude me either | ||

Maybe I'll learn from it. | ||

HF nailed this I think. Unfortunately we aren't young and have tons of free time anymore. That list '1 hour/ day' starts to hit really hard when you are hard press to even manage that! But we all love game so we still play  !It's really hard to plan as town when half your playerbase is afk. + you have a few wildcards. I was actually impress with Chezinu this game because he kind of maintain usual style but made obvious how he got places. I wasn't saying on this because I'm obvious have bias opinion because I know roles whole game but meh, thoughts for you! | ||

Both Eywa and HF are pretty spot on in their own ways. But really the key is that a single player cannot ever win the game by themselves. Actually engaging constructively seems really hard because of all the egos involved (myself included) Also hosting takes a lot of effort and I’m eternally appreciative for people who host. However just IMO based on the games I’ve participated in (and this is not a jab to you specifically, slam, it’s just in general) hosting mistakes seem to have gone up. Specifically for this game, slam, I realize the theme of the game is somewhat of a trip but ultimately what matters is how easy it is for players to understand mod actions and the game state. I don’t really want to spend time reading a modpost which is weirdly formatted where I can barely identify who died (it took me like a whole minute to confirm the scumteam in the endgame post) and the 2 KP thing is not good either because an observer I also had no idea that was happening. Everyone’s intentions are (hopefully) good, but from the outside only your actions are visible. And I think this applies to both hosting and playing. | ||

I felt scrambled first of all, and didn’t know what I wanted to run. Hence the polls and whatnot. Well, it would introduce host wifom to say anything...” And town didn’t listen anyway. But things like this kept happening and leading the town astray. Someone talked about number of night kills, and the mafia team asked about it while town members knew about it. I thought “it shouldn’t matter; the strategy remains the same basically, but at this point if it reveals a player it would be unfair to scum to give info to the town about what they asked and I said in QT. After all, I can see that some players knew about it and are being scum read for that, which is bullshit. So what can I say? Well, clearly since town players know, I can safely say that anyone could have known. Even that is kinda unfair to scum, but fuck it they were winning and it’s at least not cheating. And it should clear the poor sot who dared to fucking pay attention and is now scumread for it. I mean, god damn when I rushed the game start to accommodate player IRL schedules, I didn’t remember to update all the details of my OP and was under the impression we wanted a closed setup. I think I bent backwards pretty far. Eventually, I felt guilty for not adding much flavor so I made the endgame post flavorful but if that was hard to read, well, Yeah I said Raynpelikoneet jockmcplop plus other words, isenglishhardertoreadwithnospaces? Thenitisgoodpracticedoitmore. Idk, I flavor games how I flavor games. I can make totally vanilla really easily but I feel like an endgame post should be all flavor. The theme of this game was a genre of music that frequently involves the breaking down of old equipment and tech as a sampled, intentional element. Maybe that was too clever for anyone else. ***END SELF DEFENSE RANT*** So I was pretty lazy hosting this too. I admit it. But the nice thing was, I kinda kept tabs on the game. Usually I am too busy counting votes to do that. + Show Spoiler + Eversince da best I was most impressed with Eywa- and Vivax, but I could see abrasive behavior killing the game and I called the outcome in my mind soon as wetass was lynched. WARTASS. WARDER. That guy. I think, all Eywa- needs is diplomacy and all Vivax needs is for people to recognize he has been right 4 out of 5 times lately. HF just needs people to quit fearing his scum play so much, and Rayn actually had a reason for his rant anyway. Last game was BS that he got lynched. | ||

(edit)this was especially true for CC check etc where I was left to make decision in hurry and it literally was 180 on one they made or wasn't around to make The only thing I would mention is in host qt instead of saying “hey XX pm’d me anyone around?” Actually say what their pm question was so that once the host checks in he/she only needs to answer rather than wait for you to tell them what the question was. Plus it’s easier for everyone to stay informed. I should have after nearing N1 end said that I haven’t received CopCakes check. Then Slam could have said something, or you saying she sent you one. Or whatever then we would have a discussion about the response. | ||

I'm not beyond putting an extra bit of effort in in the early game. I had the feeling you were generally suspicious of me until the 2kp thing happened though, it seemed like constant effort to stay ahead of your suspiciousness and that actually made me make a few mistakes (that Eywa noticed). About that, I didn't know until i mentioned it in the thread, and rayn wasn't about, so i had to make the decision whether to push for a no-lynch and get the BS win or take the credit.
