Ah, I forgot to mention as town didn't know.

The night SoulEaterQUEEN replaced out, her cop check on Jealous was sent both to the other blue player Skynx, and the cop Tictock by mistake. To compensate, we gave mafia the option to either force replace Skynx (undesirable), or let them know who was checked. They chose the latter option.

In general, I think I was way too focused on 'looking townie' with my posting and thus I didn't do enough pushing of mafia objectives. Thus I'm concluding that I played terribly.

I'll take tips from anyone

I think you played quite well honestly.

As for Tictock's comment regarding logic and stuff, what I think he meant to say was that you didn't have a lot of emotion in your play. Scum tend to be very calculated because their objective is a lot clearer, whereas Town isn't in 'the know' and therefore tends to respond more emotionally. I think that's what he meant was lacking.

Personally, what I noticed a lot from your filter as I was reading was that you tended to focus a lot on the scum mindset and how scum would think at the time, being very detailed in those thoughts which stood out to me, but I knew your alignment so I knew the conclusion already.

jesus I couldn't even tell what was going on myself when calix wanted to concede and xata kept playing on, but I think scum should have been prepared for tictock's reaction test or whatever play he was doing to go either way.

I can't argue with the concede - it would have taken two nights for us to knock the prot off before the cop and we were all off on who was prot. almost certain she'd have been redchecked before then.

at one point with the rels kp I thought it was a veteran in the game and not a doc when in reality the damn doc forgot to submit a check.

really unlucky there. the rels kill did allow the d3 mislynch to happen, so they made the most of that.

calix it was a pleasure coaching you, like I said, a lot of good takeaways, I think everyone needs to work on bluesniping but honestly it's hard, even having had people mentor me on that, it's quite hard to do and people who are good can wifom it away.

gg wp town.

also if our qt is shared here (don't care really), xata/luna, don't take offence at my criticism of your posts - just that you lot are a team, and that calix had to work around your posts as a result. all part and parcel there.

Well I don't disagree with that assessment. I am very focused and calculating as scum because I am informed and know that I have to mislynch X number of players from a group to win, so you would rarely catch me being aimless as mafia.

I'm trying to work on my emotional control in general (I don't think I'm doing a great job so far, lol) so I'm not sure how valid a metric that is to use when judging my posts.

I'll keep that point in mind. Thank you

Oh damn. It was Skynx after all. Nice play with the "please lynch me" posting at deadline

don't remember the votes being close for him to solidify that, I know scott outright claimed vt when he was on the line so I knew it wasn't him, but I didn't remember skynx being either of the wagons so it was reasonable wifom on his part. jealous' posting though made us think it much more likely it was him though.

either way it was good wifom though, obv it worked.

i agree that calix played quite well esp. d1.

i think i called out one early post by her in obs.

staying motivated as scum is not easy, though.

agreed. there were a few filler posts I noticed (the one that stuck out to me was when she mentioned that it was okay for people not to post because it was the weekend - yeah I told her that would happen in the qt but it was definitely NOT townie thinking to project that for example) that actually showed scum agenda.

emotional control also takes a bit of time, but covered that already.

You were a great coach too. It was really nice being able to talk through ideas with another person and get a different perspective on things from someone who knows the site meta better.

Where does one go to learn how to TPR-hunt properly? I am so clueless there. We even had TT on N2 but managed to talk ourselves out of that to hit Rels instead.

No worries, NM, I obviously made some large mistakes such as pressuring to kill Rels over Tictock (Tictock was quite a bit more likely Cop in hindsight), waffling on Lunatic before bussing him (should have either bussed him hard for cred or actually tried to get someone else lynched), and not being as active/impactful as usual due to partly IRL stuff and partly lack of motivation due to failed early plays. Still a pretty enjoyable game overall, I think.

The TMI comes through. I was poking Lex about something I couldn't nail down but essentially it had to do with how you were lecturing the thread about associative reads as if you definitely knew that they were wrong. Honestly though your early game was stellar...if anything I'd say you're a bit too aware of the "scummy" in the scum team...I thought you guys had a much better chance than you realized to pull a win out here >>

Xata being godfather means all the green checks were meaningless, and a lot of those checks were ripe for mislynch if the checks couldn't be trusted.

Heh, it was funny reading that ObsQT point about my team analysis post being "just for show". Yeah... I didn't really bother using it afterwards

Nowhere lol >< Some are really good at it? Chez and VA come to mind. But you'll have people who have been doing this for years and still can't find blues to save their lives

ah, I see, shit happens.

only thing I recommend next time for the hosts is that if scum coaches can actually view the qt that'd be great. understand not allowing coaches to post beacuse you don't want to interfere with veterans, but having to guess what was happening without the player double posting her thoughts in the team qt and the coaching qt taxes the player more than anything. just saying.

at least from my last newbies, the scum coaches advised both individual and team strategies, so at least it'd make sense for the coaches to at least be allowed to view the qt.

in any case, thanks for hosting you two.

yeah somewhat surprised about the concede as well. everyone was backng off of xata today so far.
but yeah a massclaim after a ml today would hsve been very scary. so i can understand not wanting to fight that.
