Interesting how so many wanted a separate voting thread.... I'll just say that voting in thread + votecounter is the ideal combo (easier for the players to vote and for the hosts to use the tool, since it's simpler to just use the game thread for it - no need to post day/night posts into the voting thread as well)

Reminder though: it doesn't matter if the name letters are capitalized or not, and there are pre-set "nicknames" for common nicknames/misspelled versions of the names (such as voting "marv" will become "marvellosity" in the system). Another reminder: if a separate voting thread will be used, then also include messages like "Day 1", "Night 1" etc. in the voting thread so that the phase changes are noticed by the scanner.

I have it in my tentative plans to implement a fuzzy matching function at some point. Meaning that it would take the vote and find the "closest" one from among the players/nicknames. There may be some problems from that, though, mainly through two close names getting mixed up... But oh well. It still seems like a good potential thing.
