I also think you played well HtS. Obviously the nolynch sucked and you somehow couldn't find a rsoultin scumread but your posts were well constructed and you were very clearly town in my eyes. Looking townie is half of what mafia is about, if more people mastered it the game would be easier.

On TL, I've been lynched once.
I have never been lynched as town though either on TL or on any other site I've ever played on. So at least I'm doing something right there :/

Although if you look at how my lynch happened no one actually had any reasons for me being scum, which is sad.

Also, there was an incredible problem that I pointed out in the obs qt and why you people think spam is so detrimental to the game. You people simply do not play with that style properly at all:

i like playing with you. it's really sad that of the last 3 games we've played together i've been mafia in 2 of them...i get that some of this is coming from the fact that i should have been lynched over you in carnaval, and i agree with that 100%, but eh, i'm going to use what's available to me and unfortunately your style of play leaves you very open to being pushed for a mislynch

Yeah I mean all issues aside, the overarching thing that happened htis game is that starting around Day 2 or so, there weren't really a lot of cases going on. It was still the right move to claim the Track, probably, but with all the claims everyone got settled into "automatically lynch, automatically lynch" sort of mindset, and that caused a slowdown in analysis that I think extended out to the later game.
It didn't help that a lot of people had long filters and it was difficult to reread the thread. Part of this was probably certainl players like Trfel, EBH, etc not having time, but when it comes down to it if you have a 400 page game you can't REALLY expect someone to do a reread at LYLO and catch scum that way. Now, that's not neccessary, of course, but sometimes it helps.
In general, I think a lot of factors contributed to people not being willing to write cases, or pay close attention to analysis. Scum also played admirably which contributes to this.

yes, i'd posted a lot, yes i'd made reads and pushed things, but i hadn't actually done anything that was pushing town forward. it's a subtlety that isn't obvious just filter-diving and it's more tone/timing
breshke made a similar comment about me doing nothing but fighting with ruxx and hf...objectively that wasn't true and wouldn't stand up to review. subjectively, the reason people could only remember that was because of again tone/timing
they were very very right but those sorts of reads are practically impossible to push?

I'll take the blame fairly heavily for this one I should have just kept sleeping HF that day and left my vote on Rsoultin. Also idc what you say Ras but the not leaving legacy reads is so legit still hahah.
Also I think the 1/2 shot rolls are a really good mechanic

I mean a couple of things really screwed over town:
- ritoky's claim was not necesarry at the time he probably could have diverted the lynch
- milo's claim was the same, although he was in more danger of actually being lynched as the day was closer to coming to an end.
- Two scum roleblockers: I don't have a balance problem with this, but it really screwed town over since scum HAPPENED to have two roleblockers and town HAPPENED to have two claimed cops, it was basically impossible to lynch outside of ritoky/milo, it only happened due to the track.
So although geript tracked scum which was obviously great, this made the next lynch between two cops which really really sucks.
The next night HF is defending himself against TWO whole people who call him scum, and then after the flips when two people vote for him he freaks out and martyrs. Don't get me wrong I sympathize with having irl issues but it just didn't work out for town. I wish I had had the balls to move the lynch away from HF as I could have made it happen, but a combination of anger and doubt made me stick to him "in case he's scum".
So suddenly we're 3 days later (9 actual days) and it's tough to recover from 9 days of not much going on.

To be fair I tossed aside the legacy thing as you were clearly not getting nightkilled if you were town.
Then I give townies hard townreads and they call me 100% scum, basically telling me I can't win the game unless I spend the next 9 days working my ass off, and I didn't have it in me.

Honestly I see scum martyr all the time. You did it like 3 times that day. Only the second half of that day did you start looking townie again and at that point I was fed up. It's my fault for not overcoming that, but you can't say it's all my fault and none of yours.

This conversation comes up every game and martyring is incredibly null but either way i'm not saying it's exclusively your fault at all.
I also still don't understand that argument at all. I'm dying/martyring and you're a person that said that if i do work then you'll town read me, at what point is it logical for survival to mafia read that person if i'm mafia? Trfel did the exact same thing to you today saying you changed reads at an opportune time and you laughed at him and said he must be mafia. Can you now see my reaction to that?
