I woke up the next day and looked out from our balcony of our spacious fifth floor condo that we shared with several friends. I had wanted to visit Rio for years and especially last summer for the World Cup. But because of a slew of conflicts, I had been unable to.
My husband was fast asleep but I'd gone out for a quick run with Breshke and Superbia, who'd both brought their significant others to Carnival as well. Breshke and Superbia had both been out late and expressed concern about some of the rival samba members clashing with each other. Nonetheless it wouldn't stop us from exploring the city, but it reminded me that I just needed to be that more vigilant.
Superbia headed back to the complex after about 8km in whilst Breshke and myself continued along towards the Mancha Verde complex.
"We'll do 15km, then we will turn back," I said "if you need to run up another 5 for your training, there's the sculpture loop that should cover that. I only need 15."
"Fifteen is fine by me," he responded. "As long as I don't trip over dead bodies."
As if on cue, our worst fears were confirmed.
We stopped short as we saw a slew of police carry out a body wrapped in cloth. Breshke tried to climb the fence to get a closer look, and although he couldn't see the body, he did see more investigators carrying out bags of evidence. Another investigator rolled out what appeared to be a large window-shaped prop, which clearly had blood splattered all over it.
"You've got to be fucking shitting me," Breshke muttered.
"So this crime wave is catching the performers now?" I quipped. "Bloody hell."
A policeman came up to us and told us we needed to leave. But not before we caught investigators hauling out more evidence.
Holyflare, the carnival dancer, (Town Vanilla) has been assassinated.
Day 2 has begun.
The player with most votes at day's end will be lynched.

i'm totally uneasy about people town reading me because this is not really a very townie game for me. debauchery was and people still occasionally scum read me there and i'm sort of always flirting with getting lynched anyway. lol maybe i should just relax but it's super odd.

i just sort of went with hf. he was sort of kind of making sense so i just sort of kind of went with it. couldn't really be bothered to fite him irl.

i mean the "too honest bunnies" argument from hf and then his case on geript was alright. geript looked a lot more townie after i left before deadline d1, commenting on a lot of stuff, so i would have switched off him as well (as per page 35) but i wasn't there. like geript is sort of a hothead? but he just looked more calm and more "i'll just help town whatever i can" after i left and no excessive caps locking at sandroba or anything.
