Instead, town lynched active players (geript, Oats), then spiraled into a pit of despair as a result of their own mistakes (VE). Truth. I was amazed how bitter it was when I replaced, and soon as RAYN wasn't willing to tango based on me "not having read", I was already half demoralized. (On that: no such thing as reads based on fresh interaction huh?) Once town complained of lurking all the time and started pushing me for not me I was thouroughly unwilling to read the game.

Is that you Adam? o.o Anyway, I don't quite agree with this. Scum can totally cast their net wide. In fact a scum stereotype I see somewhat frequently is a player who throws around a lot of directionless suspicions. I'd understand if sqrt was displaying a pattern of paranoia (which is absolutely something to town-read someone off of), but one post does not make a solid read. I was actually really convinced that sqrt was scum on Day 1 and early Day 2 because of how little the post you quoted squares up with his other play. For example, he shifts from being suspicious of everyone to town-reading a lot of people in his later play. Barakos has few posts, but they are all really good. Rayn is null Kush hasn't done anything. Neither has Sn0. Ritoky is interesting. I have no idea what all the food pictures are. Oats is town. My vote is on glowingbear. Don't expect me to talk until tuesday. Obviously this read was wrong, but that doesn't change my point that I don't believe the post you quoted was a 100% town-tell. As I look through sqrt's filter, he probably would have been my leading lynch candidate by a wide margin on both Day 1 and 2. It was only on Day 3 (with how Kush and Damdred were treating sqrt) that changed my mind.

He mentioned that he was waiting for a sub, but if that was approved, BH would have posted in the replacement thread, and if it was denied, he wouldn't be waiting anymore. I didn't want to mention it until the next day in case VE got shot in the night, but I had stronger confidence on the sqrt lynch because VE voted kush. So my mistake there.

I see scum usually end up tunneling one or two players into oblivion, giving everyone else town reads to keep their profile/heat down. sqrt came in and called 50% of the player-base scummy with his 1st or 2nd post. That list post was a bit garbage, but I think several players ended up town reading him from it anyway. Personally, Id have probably hanged VE on day 3. He promised action when Rayn was out of the picture, rayn was shot and VE disappeared in a puff of smoke.

Actually Hapa, I mostly agree with him. The large majority of mafia don't push suspicion on 5 people early on like that. You also wanted to kill geript and you were the only one reading damdred as town the whole game with a lot of certainty. I was the only active town at LYLO that was trying to still solve the game. Then I realised nobody was playing, so I just fucked off too

But you gotta understand if you read VE town and he refuses to vote for your lynch you are gonna 100% lose if you don't vote for his because of LYLO... Mafia WILL consolidate anyways if they win... That i think was the biggest mistake for the town. If you are on sqrt and think ecen one player on kush is town you NEED to vote for him. You just need to....
