So far I've got a preliminary townread on koshi.
His pledge not to post fluff is protown. I think scumkoshi would be more inclined to play to our expectations by shitting up the thread. Also his comment about posting townreads and scumreads looks like he wants to be useful.
Agree/disagree with this read anyone?

Preliminary townread? really? hows that help...
regardless all he did was beg for somebody to carry him and then reiterated the statement, I fail to see how thats alignment indicative.

Agree with you kush. As long qs koshi is useful and wants to help discussion he is obvious town.
Any other ideas so far kush?
Sno if all koshi wants to do is read and give reads on people posting how isn't that protown? I'm not saying scum koshi couldn't do that but he would probably try to maximize post count don't you think?
I'll believe that Koshi wants to contribute when he contributes. Until then all he's done is ask others to do all the work, which isn't a scumtell but is hardly deserves a townread either.
Checking in. I'm town. Need more posters, not comfortable giving out townreads just yet.
I can't help but feel I'm at a disadvantage still, people already stating townreads, all I'm seeing is introductory day 1 posting, course where im from this is a lot more than what i'm used to granted, but i will learn your ways. Is it considered a red herring for someone to so blatantly declare that they're town?

no. I think your paranoia leans townie though. You get a preliminary townread.

I think that a lot of the better players could try to look useful and say that. I'm not as familiar with Koshis scum game as I am with his town so if hes actually giving reads and being useful to town I would venture that he would fall into the town category. But yes obvious town is to strong a statement and a bit of an exaggeration on my part.

be careful damdred. koshi looks town as fuck as scum.

Don't be afraid to put people in a "townpile" early, just so long as you're comfortable moving them out again if they give you reason to. I'd be suspicious of anyone claiming a hard, solid townread on anyone this early, but people stating early or light townreads on others is pretty common and expected.
Me claiming town is pretty much just a tradition - I'd do it as either alignment, so it's not really indicative one way or the other.

Okay gotcha, thanks for letting me know!
So magey boy any ideas about anything so far? What do you think of what koshi said? Kushs prelims etc?
I think MysteryMeat is scum. GET REKT SON NEEEEXT
His first post was all "Man I'm so bad and I can already tell you that you won't want to listen to anything I say"
Obviously I'm paraphrasing. But that's the feels I got reading his post. It made my ass twitch.
I basically got a "here i'm going to seem important and offer a high level of deductive reasoning based off discussion." So he's either very very good at the game, setting himself up to not talk too much and hoping his response could get lost in hundreds of posts, or something completely different.
So I guess I ask, IS he very very good at the game?
What? What are you saying Mages? Do you think he's town or mafia?
Sorry if I was unclear. I'm not certain on Koshi yet. But he's certainly talking big - and to me that seems like he either has game history to back up that he's good at the game and therefore can be a rallying force for good, or hes confident he won't be killed because he has an evil tendency. So can you tell me, is he what I am used to calling a power player? I'm used to there being 'so so' mafia players, and badasses.
