Your response to anyone posting anything seems to be to swear at them and tell them to shut up. There's like no chance that's even remotely town-motivated. At this point it's just a matter of figuring out if you personally are having like a rock up your butt today, or if you're scum acting like it in an attempt to shit up the thread and hurt town activities. Seems like the latter to me.

But yeah I'm thinking WoS's idea re: RNG is fine, but his presentation seems pretty emo. Cheer up emo kid! No need to be a debbie downer. If you want to frame the RNG debate in a way that it actually gains traction, don't say "town can't lynch scum D1 anyways" because people don't like to admit that about themselves. Instead, say "this is the best time we'll basically ever have for busting out some mad RNG skillzorz" also FT your objection that RNG can't truly be random is missing the real point of RNG

I'll discuss you if you end up being the #1 or #2 candidate later in the day. when of course FT has done no discussion whatsoever, contributed no ideas whatsoever, posted no thought process whatsoever... look it's one thing to take stances, peopel think that makes you town. But it REALLY DOESN'T. It's posting a thought process that does. Think about Oatsmaster from GS Mini. Why was rayne shit-mad at him? Because despite Oatsmaster having strong convictions, his thought process was opaque. It's easy for scum to drop votes, to say "X is scum" or "Y is town" because, well, it's just easy to write. Oats was town that game, but the basic idea (thought process should be shared) holds true. It's something that scum can't really do as well as town can, no matter how wiley. Even I, the squm-master, have trouble with this. Writing / faking a thought process in a coherent way is difficult. FT has not conveyed his thought process. He's just claimed credit for other people pushing grack. this is the kind of thing that scum can do very easily. Now, whether grack is scum or town isn't relevant here. Maybe grack is scum! But FT did a drive-by vote. He appropriated other people's thought process for his own. He could backtrack and we'd never know that he was making a logical contradiction. In other words, he's in the perfect position for scum to move his vote as he pleases. Vote FT!

The random lynch will be on player whose number is the post number that this post is (not in the thread, but the post # for TL). You can find the post number by mouse-overing the "#" in the upper right corner of this post. Take that number in Mod 19. 1 = koshi, 2 = VE, etc, down the player list, until you get to 0 = grackaroni. There, we've got a random lynch. WE'RE USING THE NUMBER FOR THIS POST. THIS POST THATI S BEING MADE. THE OVERALL TL #, NOT THE # IT IS IN THREAD.

I am not in favor of the RNG lynch on koshi. I think we should lynch FT. I did, however, roll the dice for the RNG in a fair and clear way. The post number Mod 19 method is foolproof and random. Koshi was randomly selected. I did this so that people would have to take stances wrt RNG. Now it's not "an RNG lynch" we're talking about, it's "the koshi rng lynch" so people actually gotta man up and take stances. This generates information. People have to have reasons. As someone who has a mild suspicion scum might try to hide behind the _concept_ of an RNG lynch, by making it real I know i can flush it out.

like honestly I could have rnged at any time but first yamato then FT seemed like a better idea to me than rnging a lynch. I figured I'd defuse the whole "rng" situation by actually rolling the dice so that people would get on my FT wagon. just like how a policy lynch seems like a good idea until you have a scumread, so too the rng lynch seems. also yeah FT is obviously trying to appease me, very funny FT

So basically, I view a good way of distinguishing town from scum as "town can do some things more easily than scum can". Obviously, you would probably expect town to be promoting a good town environment, pushing reads, and taking strong stances. However, scum can also do these things. A skilled scum player (say, myself) could easily push reads and take strong stances. So how do we tell a scum player from a town player? Well, a big part of this is the player's mindset. It's one thing to make a push. But it's another thing to make a well-reasoned push. Scum can easily fake "X is scum", but not as easily fake "X is scum and here's my thought process as to why it happened!" because faking a mindset and chain of logic is inherently more difficult. When town players (most of the time) have a scumread, in their mind there is a REASON for it. This reason naturally comes through because they explain it to other townies in an attempt to get their target lynched. This explanation and reasoning is called a "push" or "case" most of the time. FT, in dropping his vote on Shiaopi (and dropping some mad suspicion on grack), did not show his mindset, his reasoning, his case. Someone astutely noted that given what FT has said, grack would be the natural vote! FT was very suspicious of grack and actually gave reasons (albeit shitty reasons) why grack might be scum. However, instead, with almost no explanation, FT voted ShiaoPi. When questioned on it later, he said, On September 28 2013 03:05 FirmTofu wrote: Of course it is a shit vote. I also see the non-RNG case for a Koshi lynch. In addition to his huge anger, he's also like contributing and interacting a bit less than he did in GS Mini. That being said, I think we really have a slam dunk with yamato or potentially FT. Whatever meta reasons you guys may give for them (yamato always shits up the thread, or FT always gets mislynched D1) from an objective standpoint these guys need to be lynched. This is basically true. FT is not a realistic lynch option today, so I would like to advise all who are not on board for a Koshi lynch (for whatever reason) to join me in voting Yamato. ##vote yamato77 That being said, I find the circumstances surrounding WoS's unvote of Koshi to be highly suspicious.
