Mafia wins when they equal # of town. Survivors are not town. Therefore, should a 2-2-1 split happen and a vengeful townie was not shot (if one exists), the game will be over, scum victory.

If there is any concievable way that a faction can win, I will not end the game because it is still "winnable".

This setup was 3P favored.

I attempted to force a game which would result in a 3P that would claim without town being able to kill him. This game heavily revolved around setup analysis, and heavily discouraged town-initiated mass claims.

1) Number of roles:
There were precisely enough town roles for 3P and scum to have 1 fakeclaim each. 3P was also given a scum fakeclaim in the case that he wanted to claim scum (to alert scum that he was 3P). 3P knew precisely which power roles were in the game, as he was given Vigi and Hitler claims. Scum did not know which power roles were in the game. They we given one "free" miller claim because it was a Parity cop, so D1 miller claim wouldn't hurt the cop, the rest were all VT claims.

2) Weak Blues
Lets be real clear here. Your parity cop claimed Day 2. Your Vengeful claimed. These are powerful roles which were made weak by claiming. Claim cop? Get shot. Claim Vengeful? You're a VT. Veteran was in there to change the D2 Lynch from LyLo to MyLo.

3) 3P Jailkeeper
This let the 3P decide which type of game he wanted to play. Did he want to lean scum or town? Short game or Long game? By choosing not to use his power, WoS played for a shorter game.

4) Amazing Scum play/Veteran Meta
In the end, nobody, even in the Obs thread, knew who the scumteam was. I believe that this is a result of two things. First, scum played exceptionally well, especially for a bunch of first timers! People are going to give all the praise to Stutters, but take a look back. Fuba got caught early, but made the 3P known and distracted town for the rest of the day - imagine how different LyLo is with an unknown 3P. s0lstice got caught, but managed to deflect the lynch and simultaneously shut down any movement on stutters. Honestly, s0l is my scum MVP - it is incredibly difficult to draw fire from someone else while not getting lynched yourself. And stutters just played a straight up good game. No one, even in obs, guessed stutters until he voted on vivax.

At the same time, this town fell victim to the "Veteran Meta", which plagues TL. There was no way that one of the older guys wasn't scum. But thats an issue for a whole other thing.

5) Massclaim
First, lets look at my hosting meta. I almost always provide fake claims. I punish people who try to break my setups. There is usually some sort of hidden information. So, meta wise, its a bad idea to massclaim in my games.

Setup wise: Every blue role becomes exponentially worse by claiming early. There are 2 non-town RBs potentially in the game. Cop and vigi claims get RB/Shot. Vet/Vengeful get not shot or RB+Shot. Whose idea was it to massclaim? And why didn't you analyze the setup and figure out, hey, this is actually a bad idea? I'm the setup analysis host - if you play my game, look at the setup and think about how it can play out before you do anything else.

6) How Town Wins on Day IV
Be there at the friggin Daypost.

Method #1: s0lstice claims scum. 3 townies insta vote him. stutters is forced to vote s0l also. s0l dies, its now 3-1-1 -> 2-1-1 LyLo.

Method #2: Oats had the right idea. Claim scum, say that another townie is your scumbuddy. They now know that you are town and are making a gambit, and ~~will~~ should support you. Its now reverse LyLo, with either WoS or the 3rd townie holding the hammer. You have a 66% chance if you shoot before s0l claims, or a 100% chance if you aim at s0l post claim (though a more difficult case). But, once s0l flips, you have two confirmed townies going into 3-1-1, so at least 1 confirmed townie going into 2-1-1, making things a bit easier.

On the whole, I think it was an ok game. Town just got outplayed hard.
