Harry Potter Mafia!

So we have a major vote, looking forward to trying something different than town lynch on day 1. What’s your reasoning regarding LSB RoL? Ready for another "lynch him and lynch me after"?
I have a lot of respect for LSB’s scumhunting abilities, and he was an offensive pro-town player in loose yo village. I’m not sure I like his voting idea though.
Is this the candidates?

Well I'm going to bed, vote for me . If you need a reason it's because I'm not LSB who's proposing a very scummy voting plan and I'm not RoL who's entire platform is to kill LSB :D. Oh and RoL in answer to your question of why not LSB my answer is that right now I would lynch LSB if elected however theres still a lot of time so I'm not committing myself to killing him like you are.
One reason for me to vote for RoL would actually be he is clear about who dies if he is elected – he won’t just change. I find the lack of reasons, other than his plan, slightly worrying though, since there is noone defending LSB.
Kenpachi why should we vote for you?
Also please don’t treat the day 1 lynch as a normal majority lynch. A majority voting day 1 mafia lynch is rare, and major voting is a tool to remedy that. To ignore this mechanic would be to throw away an advantage.

Speaking of lurkers, what's up with the people posting plenty in Pokemafia, but completely disregarding this?
Analyze them. Playing in multiple games is a good way to catch players off-guard
Cheers, will try. Wish some would make atleast a first post though >_<
We need to put pressure on the invisible players.
Chaoser has not posted a single post, but is active in pokemafia
Pandain he is usually so spammy?
Radfield no game related posts
Kenpachi awol since announcing he was running for major
Youngmini is he even in the game?
+ Ghote got called out by Thegilaboy without responding.
Most obvious scum: Chaoser and Pandain
Where are you?

That leaves someone out.
Possible death eaters
Snape- I believe Snape is the miller, but there is a possibility he's mafia
Gilderoy Lockhart- Erasing people's memories isn't very townish
One of the Patils- This is very very weak, but it could be the generic lovers role. One town, one mafia. Doesn't make much sense storywize.
Snape may be mafia with a town-sided alternate win condition? Perhaps to keep Harry alive or something along those lines? I just can't see any of the other characters as mafia.
Gildetroy Lockhart seems more like a third party to me, as well as Moaning Myrtle (if there's a fool or village idiot in the game, I'd bet it's her). If they win with town then I'm sure they have alternate winning conditions.
We were told to pay attention to the last line of annul's posts. I believe that this time we are supposed to get a hint from:
It is the end of the first year up at Hogwarts. Harry Potter recently vanquished Quirrell, navigated the devil's snare trap, the flying key trap, the potion logic trap, and the chess game trap, to get there. In other words, nothing of great significance happened this year. One wonders what might happen in future years to affect the wizarding world and the loyalties of those within
This suggests that each day in this game is going to be equivalent to a year in Harry Potter world. If Day 1 was Philosopher's Stone then Day 2 will be Chamber of Secrets. This also suggests that character's loyalties may change over time. Characters who were significant in Chamber of Secrets were Gilderoy Lockhard, Moaning Myrtle, Nicholas de Mimsy-Porpington, and Colin Creevey. One or more of these characters may have some sort of agenda for next day.

if draco wins by any manner, and is alive when he does so, both lucius malfoy and narcissa malfoy also win. you are not allowed to tell anybody (even your parents) about this ability until dawn of day 6
I'm guessing the significance of day 6 is that in Half Blood Prince he played a major role in the attempted murder of Dumbledore. Somehow I think one of Dumbledore's conditions is death on night 6...but he should have some imba power right now.
Gilderoy Lockhart lost all his memories in book 2 after attempting to erase Harry's - could possibly mean he'll be much weakened after night 2?
Myrtle - ...hmm no idea of what she could have
Colin - no idea either
Honestly 8 death eaters out of 31 seems very unreasonable so I think its likely this number will drop by natural causes or something...
I'm also certain there is a bus driver with Ernie Prang.
I'm pretty sure colin is the one taking fotographs, hinted in the original post. I could see Dumbledore starting out strong but dying early, while Voldemort starts out weak, and gets stronger for every day, pure guesswork though.
Gilderoy was kinda bad untill he got his memory erazed.
Bus driver is probably a good guess
I fear scumhunting during nighttime though

RoL why do we need a double lynch for?
IT WAS A TRAP! Only a mafia would question the need for a double lynch.
.....Even if it doesn't exist!
Or you just read pokemafia like the rest of us?

I'm sorry what?
My question is, Kenpachi why are you so certain of him?
We have a large number of inactives in this game. While some have just been substituted in, others have been hiding in the heat generated by the LSB vs RoL and the LSB vs Orgolove discussions. Most suspicious is ofcourse players that have just been dropping by when they got summoned – Pandain springs to mind - but also players with only votes and comments on other’s play.
It’s nighttime, so the discussions should probably be saved for tomorrow, but detectives and other night roles should keep this in mind when choosing targets.
Regarding DT checks:

Aaaand I'm back! Woo, internet in Chicago sucks, but I finally have things up and running in my place again.
Enough of that though, back to the game. If I were mafia, why in the world would I try to start a bandwagon onto orgolove when the obviously safer route is hiding amongst the masses in LSB's vote? I can tell you right now that deconduo and I are not mafia at all, and you should go ahead and check us tonight so that you know for sure! Now that I've got a chance, I will catch up on some reading, back in a bit
I disagree. DT checks should be used to find mafia, and not to confirm innocents. Trying to confirm innocents is just a waste of time considering the possibility of a godfather/roleblocker. If a DT tries to find a red, but find a town, then you get an innocent to start a circle with. If you hit red, share it with the town.

Hey jcarl your PM said that your circle was all town... But did theirs?
It says I have a confirmed town-aligned group. Would that not mean all of the members in it are town aligned?
I'm talking about the other house members, did their PMs specify that the whole group is town. I'd like a member to come forward and confirm this because if this was true than it would be really easy just to have all the houses claim and lynch anyone who wasn't confirmed and didn't appear in a house.
There are only two houses in the game, Ravenclaw and Gryffindor. There aren't enough Hufflepuff and Slytherin members to make up a full 3-member house. Additionally, there are members of each house in the HP universe that are not in the mod-confirmed house group (see one of Roger Davies and Cho Chang not being the Ravenclaw House, as well as there being far more than 3 Gryffindor in the player list).
Only 6 players can be confirmed, so the Gryffindor group isn't necessarily suspect.
We have to remember we got a clue, that loyalties change over time. There is too many deaths going on with the circles - who knew about beneather and dumbledore?
