Regarding scrims, Candy shed some light on the matter in last episode of Summoning Insight. Generally, the discrepancy between team's results in scrims and in real games comes from the difference between teams' goals regarding scrims. Supposedly teams like NiP (and perhaps Crs?) approach scrims as a test of strength, just pick their strongest stuff or whatever's toptier, while their enemies try to test some stuff and learn something new. So the bad team wins the scream, but they don't actually learn anything unlike their enemy.

Iirc fnatic are one of the biggest jobbers ever in scrims so there may be something to it.

Yeah they mentioned Fnatic in that talk too, Candy started by saying that "Scrims don't mean shit just look at Fnatic" and then used the NiP example of why scrims don't mean shit.
