Monte/Link HAVE to downplay the impact of Seraph early on. Hyping him up is a bad idea - if CLG loses games, Seraph and the team get absolutely flamed by fans for overpromising. Downplaying it is win/win - if CLG wins, then fans are thinking he's amazing; if CLG loses, then the team can point back to this and say "look we told you we'd struggle early in the split, but we're going to get so much better." Personally I think it's somewhere in between - I'm sure CLG is better but don't want to risk saying anything.

That said C9 should not have much competition early in the split. Roster changes take a while, and it's not like these teams had steady scrimming during all stars break. I am excited to see the second half though, when the teams are much more polished and there will probably be a shift in the meta.

Lol, it's not like TSM fanboys/stupid CLG fanboys and other won't say shit like:

- Woo, Seraph sucks, Korea should leave our region
- Boohoo, Link played with C9 and still sucks, all hail king Bjergsen.
- Ooo, Doublelift, fucking trashtalker, can't deliver.
And so on.
Same with other top-teams. Just wait until TSM gets smashed by C9.

- Reginald sucks, boohoo.
- Fucking new support, why did you dump Xpecial i can't even spell his name, fucking Gleebglarbu, well, just Gleeb now.
- Dis german import is nothing in comparison with dexter, Reginald, at least when you find players, try to find better guys.
And so on.

Reginald was right when he said.
- Well, we got new roster but who cares, we still have 28 games and i don't think that we're going to be lower than 6th.

Fun facts.

- Last season CLG dropped only one game to not TSM and C9 when they had dexter.
- TSM dropped 2 games to not C9 and CLG.
I'm very interested to see, will stuff change or LMQ and Dignitas will be same boys to punch by top-3. At least, i'm not expecting anyone to go 20+ but C9, 20+ is simple domination over split, it was joke that last split if CLG got dexter since start, NA could have THREE teams with 22+ wins. It was disastrous.

I just mean they would seem like a pompous ass. "We got this new guy, we've barely played together, but we're SO good!" In terms of a business, that's just simple business sense - it is a huge mistake to overpromise and underdeliver.

Well, in this case they better not to ask Doublelift, because my guy is getting pumped too fast.
LMQ-CLG will be real game in the night, if CLG wins convincingly, i can't wait until the "Chinese are overhyped, NA top-2 region" comments.

There have been more than just that one leaked scrim between the two... XWX really is up to the hype. Link is not going to have fun. Noname is just more mechanically skilled that Dexter, even if he isn't a better jungler per se. Vasili and Mor are so streaky, that botlane could go either way. And I think we will see a clash of the titans top that really doesn't go either way strongly. CLG is going to get a lead, throw it in team fights, and one big fight is going to decide the game.

Damn, i'm the one who hadn't watched that scrim? :D
That's also one of the key parts for this season CLG.
They can play meta and laneswap better than almost anyone in NA, but they have such strong laners now, that they can go toe-to-toe with anyone.

If they swap, second dragon will decide a game because CLG isn't a team who will be shy of contesting as well as LMQ, if no - i'm interested in this 3v3 slaughterhouse on bottom and i hope that CLG bans Mor's Leona.

"Underpromise and overdeliver" is a really good advice in general

That said I do think CLG is going to drop a couple games to LMQ/dig/crs/EG the first few weeks while Seraph gets his English up, but it's also the strongest CLG we've seen since LCS started and they do have legitimate chances to take down TSM or C9 even at the start (I'm going to say ~1/3 chance to win vs C9 week 1) It's going to be very exciting to watch CLG come playoffs.

C9 is still the best team, historically every TSM roster change has worked out well so they will still be strong, LMQ is kind of a wildcard (as coast showed, dominating challenger scene doesn't really mean much as far as LCS performance), and I'm excited to watch zion and shiphtur play on a decent team for once.

I think that dig won't be able to take top 3 in the regular season just because they'll have such a bad start. Taking five talented but awful macro wise players who are prone to throwing and you're going to get lots of throwing as it turns out, dig may be able to brute force wins but until they've had time to synergise and scarra teaches them some ognTSM rotations but I think even if they could win their lanes especially against C9 they'll still slip at some point.
Though that being said I give them a good shot of taking down TSM at any point unless reginaldo and the general evolves their playstyle because of the likelihood that they can straight up body the lanes.

Yellowpete rolls over LMQ, finishes with putting biggest numbers in last 1,5 years, then after Riv asks him: "Will you miss competitive scene?"

- Nah, too weak for me.
Glorious Pete, one of the best players to speak with.
I will miss him ):

You should phrase it this way: Every team that has to play C9 this week has a brutal start to the split.

Dig is a worse TSM. Why would they take top 3?

Dignitas always had better idea how to play the game than TSM, TSM just had way more sheer talent to brutforce their way to top.

If you compare teams in NA right now in macro - TSM has good shot of being dead last, if coL really has so many analysts.

Any bets that TSM will be like:

- Amazing camps Bjergsen. Bjergsen snowballs. If it works, then gg.
- Amazing camps Bjergsen, Our other 2 lanes are falling behind. If we can take down bottom with 3+snowballed Bjergsen and get dragon with Dyrus on tank, we have a good shot.
- Amazing and Bjergsen loses to another one-two punch. Other lanes are winnings. Check stage 2, change snowballed position.
- Amazing and Bjergsen loses to another one-two punch, other lanes are falling or tied, TSM's bottom got killed by 3+snowballed mid and another team got dragon. Gg.

Also, bonus facts for this split.
Xpecial and Dyrus are only 2 guys right now in proscene who were on all 3 Worlds. Will streak end?
Westrice can comeback to Worlds after almost 3.5 years as well.

Look, I don't like TSM. I think Reginald is a bro you dumblucked into money and an open financial market for someone with a moderate amount of brains. They are the Yankees of Esports and no one with a soul likes the yankees. THAT SAID... The yankees are perenially a fucking good team. Steinbrenner is a Sith Dark Lord... but he built an insanely strong ball club.

TSM has the most skilled midlaner in NA. They have a rock in the toplane who is never totally useless. Turtle is a a monster ADC. Amazing is the most mechanically skilled jungler (maybe Meteos is better but its that close, that I don't know). Their only "weak" spot is Gleeb, who is a big reason Altec looked so dominant. He will perform as well as Aphro this split. Their strategy will always be "pubstomp these shitters" and they are good enough to make it work.

Dig is the cursed Red Sox. Old as dirt, tons of solid players, never had the stuff to win the Series. Zion is up there with Ackerman and Dyrus. Shiptur has the prestigious position of being the best midlaner that isn't Bjergsen, Hai, or XWX. Crumbzz is known for being mildly to moderately better than IWillDominate. And KiwiPie is the best botlane to have never finished 3rd or better in the C9 era.

Dig could have a full head of steam and still get shitstomped by LMQ, TSM, and C9. They will be a threat to CLG however since their lanes are closer in skill and they are strategically sound (except around baron).

Dig gunna be my team to cheer for in this split. Easily gunna give the best games to watch with the most amount of throws. If dig can actually get a coach (not just analyst), they can be #1, they have the raw individual skill in all their roles.

Not convinced tsm is going to be any better or worse. Unless they get an actual coach they'll always play euro style of farm up, win lane phase with low map movement, then teamfight into win.

c9 es scary team still.

c9>clg>tsm>>dig~lmq>crs>eg>col.b

I'll be surprised of CoL gets more than 4 wins this split.
