Dont know about runes and masteries but i noticed that doublelift took barrier instead cleanse, he's been one of the longest cleanse runners on every adc even during the time people still took ignite. I was quite surprised.

Yea it sounds really bad. Since you isolate one person while getting yourself out of position/engaged on. I makes sense to have one of them to isolate but you sacrifice your teamfight in order to just have MORE isolation? That's just putting all your eggs in one baskets, everyone knows that's bad.

Not much to cleanse against voli and singed. You can cleanse one thing off of Thresh but he has ult Q and flay for CC so... taking barrier was probably the better choice

vulcun didn't had a signle stun or root. only slows (you can still tumble) and flings (barrier much better against flings)
