It must be amazing to be a diehard fan of LoL right now. A huge crowd of excited fans going crazy live along with ludicrous stream numbers. ESPN won't ignore something like this for long. I've got say, as an RTS diehard who just can't play with others, I'm jealous -- but also interested in where this will go.
I've heard so many times that LoL fans aren't really interested in the game, that the stream numbers were because of in game inbeds, and other things to explain away its popularity, but yeesh this is wild.

it's LoL's huge player base + Riot doing a good job of advertising LoL as an esport to its player base

? What GTFO? Brood War was never this big of a deal in the US, and it's a far better game than LoL or SC2? I have a right to be sad that it never got this kind of exposure out west.

The in game inbed thing was a lie. It was an in game link that you could click if you wanted to watch the stream. That misconception makes me >.<
