Outside of the obvious lag issues, I have sincerely enjoyed the event thus far; however one thing is bothering me. This is not meant as a caster bash, but the casters have talked about M5 more than any other team, and M5 isn't even here. It's fine to talk about other teams as a reference point, but this has just gotten a bit ridiculous.

This would be acceptable if TSM didn't consider Korean teams to be inferior and didn't consider playing in Korea to be a waste of time.

Thats just TSM being TSM they also scream that xyz is op (remember Chaox whining how OP MF was after genja stomped him with that). Maybe they do it a bit for the show maybe they just behave like that no one besides them knows

Maybe TSM just thought more money was in NA/EU tournaments and streaming. But short term money vs experience that could help win season 2.

M5 = NA/EU gold standard, it's relevant imo.

TF playing super pushed up and dies to Meowkai gank. But Azubu takes bot tower in 4 min. I predict Graves+Lulu going top to take the lane there, Irelia swap to Vlad.

This is possible since Korean teams do not allow you to stream their games. I do think that TSM would've come out as a stronger team had they gone to Korea as they'd be more prepared for Asian teams at Season 2 finals. Not to mention you can get scrims way easier in Korea than you can in NA/EU. So many teams in Korea that are always looking to scrim. I think it was Doublelift who said that CLGna scrims for roughly 10 hours a day in Korea.

Regardless the sentiment of, "TSM wasn't prepared for this style of play," is not an acceptable excuse.

The thing about talking about m5 people watching sc2 talk about top players/strategies aswell. The thing I learned during Warsaw. M5 lost 5 maps offline 4 maps to CLG eu (2 sets) and 1 single map to TSM they are pretty much for a really long time a dominating team with only losing to CLG eu and dominating everything so it kinda makes sense to talk about as considered best team in the world

edit:
Regardless the sentiment of, "TSM wasn't prepared for this style of play," is not an acceptable excuse.

Yep this is true that is not an excuse (and I dont even think that they completly changed the style of play they played more push orientated then european teams but thats about it tbh)

it's round robin. So basically teams play 3 games regardless of who wins the first two. Then whichever two teams finish with the best score moves on to finals.

Group stage is Round-Robin with each team playing each other team 3 times. Scores are determined on Win-Loss Ratio. Best team has immediate berth into the finals. Worst team is eliminated. Middle two teams have to play off to get into the finals.

This is Chaox doing his "Let's try to copy what beat us" thing(see MF/WrigglesZeal OP after Genja crushed him). His plan in champ select was to play similarly to Blaze in game 1, and push towers super hard. Obviously that backfired.

If thats what they actually said, Corki/Raka was a really dumb pick, especially after with graves already taken.
