Riot hasn't exactly made it easy for 'personalities' to come forward though. The commentators were either already known from past games, or picked inhouse. No replay/spectator functionality means no youtube commentaries, very little non-riot tourney coverage, etc.
Like I said, this dude happened to put together a show because he had a connection that hand delivers content to him. Nothing about SotL is about him, he doesn't even really direct the show except to stop people from bashing Riot. Most importantly when talking about a broadcast personality, he is terrible at speaking, has no tonal inflection, and no personality. Even in his 'nervousness' on stage that shines through, as he stares blankly into the camera while asking questions to the person next to him in his monotone voice.

I find it really odd that Regi and his aggressive playstyle never at any point has tried to wall and get in on Xerath, especially since there's been a few instances where his E was obviously on cooldown(literally the only reason to be hesitant about doing so). Letting him farm is what Xerath wants, really playing into the champs best attributes.

We're 33 minutes in on game 2, and Reflex has just taken an Inhib turret from Dignitas.
Reflex says no thanks to Dignitas' baron attempt and knocks down the exposed Inhibitor to follow-up.
