Haha man that team was so fucking young when they were TD, props to them.

so they nerf his lane phase (expected) and don't buff his late game? I would be pretty shocked if his new passive adds up to more gold than just fucking killing everyone for the first 15 min a la current Draven. It's to give him a more stable late game so he doesn't have to kill everybody before 15 mins to be relevant.

How does making your early not broken and your lategame worse not force you to kill everybody before 15 minutes to be relevant?

I see/hear anyone from middle schoolers to guys in my university finance classes talking about the game. It's awesome hearing "dude did you see the TSM vs Dig game last night? Crumbzz is so good" or "Haha I ran Blitzcrank last night with full mana items, my shield was insane!!", and even the occasional "Yeah I made it to Silver last night, let me know if you want me to carry you out of Bronze. My Fiddle is insane".
It's absolutely amazing how much it has grown in the couple of years I've played. I'm glad I made the switch from HoN, I had a feeling this game was gonna be *the* game.
Edit: @ watching League at work - it's pretty difficult for me since I work in a small office with the CFO, but during lunch I try to catch a game or stream

Whenever I find people IRL who play, they're never higher than gold. It's always super depressing. I feel like a dick when I say I won't/can't play with them, and I'm miserable when I do play with them.

On June 15 2013 02:28 XaCez wrote: Ok guys I only play ARAM, which Champs are imba/broken/rage-inducing? Well Sona at least is almost impossible to lose with. Even if your teammates are idiots who home in on Nidalee spears you can keep them healed all day and if you build AP you can also poke really well.
Another one's Alistar, only had him once but it was totally a free win. You get so many AoE heals because of the minions constantly dying and you can manmode and not give a shit and even initiate. He probably is the strongest ARAM champion I've encountered thus far.
Master Yi is really good with his Alpha Strike and selfheal, but if the enemy team is stronger and clumps themselves around their minions because they just don't care, you cannot alpha strike safely and will be pretty much useless. His teamfighting is super strong in ARAM, though.
Nidalee and such are overrated in my opinion, I at least only get hit by like 1-2 random spears whole game and if others dodge like that she doesn't really offer much.

Almost everyone that I know that plays IRL is Bronze or low Silver. It's always fun playing with them and teaching them new things though, it's cool to be "looked up to" in a way. Granted, I don't play ranked with them unless it's Ranked 5v5, but I play normals and mess around or try new champs or builds with them whenever I'm not tryharding I feel like if I can influence a couple of them to be cool non-trolls/ragers in-game, maybe they can pass it on, haha.

The fact that this psychiatrist call Zion Spartan "ZionSpartan" in real life make me wonder. Feel really weird.

All my IRL friends are better than me Its like a flood of Plat1 - Diamond 2.
At least I can play with their slightly worse little brothers.

so they nerf his lane phase (expected) and don't buff his late game? I would be pretty shocked if his new passive adds up to more gold than just fucking killing everyone for the first 15 min a la current Draven. They don't want Draven to have a good late game. They want Draven to be a "cheese" pick, somebody who MUST dominate in lane to continue to stay relevant throughout the game. The passive change will do exactly that. It will hit Dravens early power a bit, but if he gets kills early and starts snowballing, he will get items faster than he would before, because of the passive gold. He will be worse at 6 items and worse at level 1, but better if he gets kills early in the game, which makes his playstyle simultaneously more defined, and also easier to play against. You just don't let Draven get kills. I think it's a great change.
This is how Draven currently operates, now you are weakening that early kill potential. I'm not saying he wasn't too strong(for solo q he is) but to completely remove the bleed is a huge nerf and to replace it with this passive which incidentally takes a kill to even cash in on just feels like a weird change to me.
This change just feels like it will put him in Mordekaiser territory, a champion who does very well in lane vs most picks but not good enough to warrant picking in almost every situation because he has bad range and can't afford to build D and be relevant. I mean mabye you are tired of Draven so this is ok with you but this is where this change has him headed in my mind (I could be proven wrong)

There was just a discussion 2 days ago suggesting a Diamond+ thread here. Basically - not happening.
