Mugi was claiming he could run in, E, run out, and come ahead in trades. The W was never taken into account. In the same vain, I didn't factor in Warwick's passive healing because no auto attacks are being exchanged in this scenario...

Why would Warwick run if Loaf axes him though? Warwick will definitely come out ahead in any auto-exchange that is 2 or more autos. As soon as that axe hits me, I turn and stand and fight instead of trying to run. If it looks like Olaf is gonna commit, WW's W ensures that he will win that exchange no matter what.

I guess I haven't played the match up after the buff of WW's passive, but I assumed olaf would win the trade with the heal and extra damage from spells..

So, I know we've talked about it for some of the pages, but now that he's been out over a week, do we think Varus is viable? He really seems to do well late game (maybe not Vayne or Kog level, but strong), and his early game is only really limited by his bad mobility, but not much worse than Ashe or early Cait. I think he'll be a strong pick in the future.

From what I've seen, Varus is kinda like Cait in that he can win lanes pretty darn well, but he falls off the later the game goes. No real steroid (his passive is kinda bleh as a steroid), his Q isn't all that great lategame, his W is strong in lane but inferior to Vayne's W, his E is amazing, his ult is great in lane/small fights, but not all that great in 5v5 fights.

I remember watching Dyrus and Wickd duo together, and at least Wickd talked adamantly about the fact that Olaf will just rape WW, and he has no doubt about it. I have been counterpicking WW with Olaf after watching that, and have played the lane maybe 3-4 times, and in everyone of them i got fed of my lane partner. Granted, i am so low that it rarely matters what i pick.

WW cant force an aa fight before you want it, and before that you can just drain his mana by using E everytime its off CD.

When I play AD and my support is Blitz, having support Ali on the opposing seems like a fair counter. If Ali gets pulled, everybody flies around and if the enemy AD gets hooked, Ali jumps in. I am low elo though, so maybe good Blitzes don't have such troubles with Ali.

Yep, as Olaf I know when E is down I'd better run instead of standing and fighting, because that's what smart people will do: trade while my E is on cooldown and back off before it comes back. And WW has very limited mana so if you can force him to use it (and I know that at my Elo they don't manage mana and pots well) as soon as level 1 he'll go oom really fast, and then you can just zone him. Personally I don't build HP either against WW, not before some MR at least (if I can get away with it, 2x NMM for hexdrinker and later mercs).

this is what I've noticed as well. varus looks like he is strong mid game, but falls off a bit in the late game like cait or urgot. still strong late game, but in terms of playability/DPS in the lategame, not the BEST AD carry. granted I've only watched him play, I haven't played as him yet.

So anyone else has this dumb annoying trend that they wanna name-change their rune pages all the time? I went from a "me [insert] or me feed" trend to naming all my rune pages accordingly to characters from bleach lol.
