Sometimes it’s hard to keep up with the news of Heroes of the Storm. As a new, blooming game, there’s a lot of stuff going on. Don’t worry, we got you covered.
News
- Blizzard has launched an official site with news, schedules and VODs. It is quite a good looking site, and it even features some of our articles, so you should definitely check it out!
- Rexxar, Champion of the Horde, was released this week. Rexxar brings a different kind of gameplay that really makes you feel like a World of WarCraft Hunter. Unfortunately, Rexxar came with a plethora of bugs. Some more ridiculous than others, but we're sure they will be fixed pretty soon.
- Those waiting for a StarCraft Warrior will have to wait a little longer, as the StarCraft medic is confirmed to be released before the mighty Artanis.
- Blizzard released some Cosplay Reference kits where they break down the model of the heroes to help cosplayers have an easier time creating their amazing costumes. Even if you are not a cosplayer yourself it is pretty cool to see the models broke down into their different components. Did you know Johanna has armor under her armor? No wonder she's so tanky!
Tournaments
- The third Enter the Storm cup finished this week. Sixteen european teams battled it out for a $10,000 dollar prize pool. Team Bob? managed to get the victory after coming out first on their group, beating TeamLiquid twice in the bracket and edging out ATN Fancy in the finals. With this victory Bob? solidifies itself as one of the top european teams and as a strong contender to qualify to BlizzCon this October in the European Championship.
- The HOT6 Heroes of the Storm Super League continued this weekend. After a very close match, team MVP Black, winner of the international tournament MGA, barely defeated team MMR 3-2 in the semifinals, which just goes to show how competitive the Korean region has become. The action continues this next September 15 between Snake esports and Team DK.
TeamLiquid Spotlight
- The 'What We Learned In' articles by Xingua have become a trademark of the TeamLiquid coverage and analysis of the Heroes of the Storm professional scene. This time, he analyzes the lessons learned from the ESL Major League Season 3 playoffs.
- TeamLiquid, alongside Blizzard Entertainment, released more team profiles for the teams qualified for the Americas Championship. This time, we bring you profiles for compLexity gaming, Team Immunity, Murloc Geniuses and Team Relics.
