EDIT: Lol, this is Dominance vs. Dominance.
If they throw this it will be a god tier throw.
This is a god tier fucking throw.
They win and its STILL a god tier motherfucking throw.

NVT just started playing their comp really well midway through the game. The Aegis/Sanct combo was working perfectly to counter MG burst, and then they could just outsustain with BW/Auriel. Overall, really great play from both teams, was fascinating to watch both of them react to each other and evolve throughout the match.

I certainly don't disagree that NVT played thoroughly excellent moreso than Murlocs played poorly, but I just can't consider a swing in advantage that hard (on that map in particular) anything less than a throw. ![]()

Would GFE and Denial have to play a set, for both getting 2nd and dying in the group stage, at subsequent events?

That's the situation in EU where Dignitas won twice in a row last week. Misfits (mYi) had to play Fnatic for the seed at BlizzCon and lost, despite coming in 2nd at the tournament.

I guess the problem i see is in that scenario, is say Naventic looses here so they have two times they lost in the simi finals. And Both Denial have one 2nd and one 3rd place in group stage which is like 5-6 place. So if we average it out. Naventic would be at like a solid 3.5 place. and Both Denial and GFE would be at like 5.5 + 2 = 7.5 / 2 = 3.75 place. SO oddly Naventics consistency could reasonably be argued as being more valuable than the aggregate finish of Denial or GFE. ..hope we get at Denial / Nav finals so we don't have to deal with this.

That's understandable. In any case, it's the only way I can see them doing qualifier spots fairly (I've actually spent a lot of time thinking about this). Since there's two regionals, it only makes sense that the 2nd place winners from each tournament face each other for the second seed. There's not really a fair way to do it otherwise. That said, I'm not a huge fan of the HGC format anyway. I think it's pretty wonky the way the rules work and I would be much happier with a WCS-like system where teams accumulate points over the course of the year that determine their seeding for BlizzCon. The only problem with that idea is that the Heroes scene is probably still too unstable to support something like that, though something like that might be an incentive for rosters to stick together longer instead of just reshuffling after every major tournament.

I definitely prefer Korea's super league set up for qualifications over the double regional set up.

I guess i would rather just have a system where points are allotted for how you placed at events. Like what would've happened if Merlocs lost in the looser match of their group? Surely there would have been other more solid performances between the two tournaments from other teams. Not to say i don't value winning. Just allot a particular amount of points for regional wins and so forth down the line, But i feel if one team got two 2nd places should be more valued than a 1st and 7-8th place finish. Sure its unlikely, but you can see how the system is potentially flawed in these extreme scenarios. ..I guess i wouldnt mind giving away spots to blizzcon for Global winners, that only seems right, or at least so many points that they would need to just get wrecked in to 2 regional tournaments to disqualify themselves.
