Man, it really just struck me how three of Naventics players look exceedingly like each other.

EDIT: Lol, this is Dominance vs. Dominance.

If they throw this it will be a god tier throw.

This is a god tier fucking throw.

They win and its STILL a god tier motherfucking throw.

I actually don't think it's a throw at all. NVT just started playing their comp really well midway through the game. The Aegis/Sanct combo was working perfectly to counter MG burst, and then they could just outsustain with BW/Auriel. Overall, really great play from both teams, was fascinating to watch both of them react to each other and evolve throughout the match.

I certainly don't disagree that NVT played thoroughly excellent moreso than Murlocs played poorly, but I just can't consider a swing in advantage that hard (on that map in particular) anything less than a throw. No logic, pure emotion. <3

NA is so entertaining. It's like encasing two teams of 5 medieval knights in so much armour that they can't see, giving them huge weapons, and watching them flail around trying to kill the other team.

Hey Guys Assuming, Merlocs wins this event. Who goes to blizzcon?

Would GFE and Denial have to play a set, for both getting 2nd and dying in the group stage, at subsequent events?

That's understandable. In any case, it's the only way I can see them doing qualifier spots fairly (I've actually spent a lot of time thinking about this). Since there's two regionals, it only makes sense that the 2nd place winners from each tournament face each other for the second seed. There's not really a fair way to do it otherwise.

That said, I'm not a huge fan of the HGC format anyway. I think it's pretty wonky the way the rules work and I would be much happier with a WCS-like system where teams accumulate points over the course of the year that determine their seeding for BlizzCon. The only problem with that idea is that the Heroes scene is probably still too unstable to support something like that, though something like that might be an incentive for rosters to stick together longer instead of just reshuffling after every major tournament.

Naventic is out of Blizzcon, Gale Force still has a chance, though losing to Astral Authority yesterday doesn't give much hope for their chances even if they get one.

I definitely prefer Korea's super league set up for qualifications over the double regional set up.

That said, I'm not a huge fan of the HGC format anyway. Like what would've happened if Merlocs lost in the looser match of their group? Surely there would have been other more solid performances between the two tournaments from other teams.

Not to say i don't value winning. Just allot a particular amount of points for regional wins and so forth down the line, But i feel if one team got two 2nd places should be more valued than a 1st and 7-8th place finish.

Sure its unlikely, but you can see how the system is potentially flawed in these extreme scenarios.

..I guess i wouldnt mind giving away spots to blizzcon for Global winners, that only seems right, or at least so many points that they would need to just get wrecked in to 2 regional tournaments to disqualify themselves.
