Either could I, thats why I updated the thread with the final triple J countdown. My list would never be complete without There is a light that never goes out - The Smiths or Heroes - David Bowie or even Black Hole Sun - Soundgarden. The Triple J list was a very mainstream and 90's list without too much thought imo.

I have thought long and hard. Pondered till my mind was near explosion, and here is what I came up with:

On 10: AC/DC
Thunderstruck/Highway to Hell - Because it has the most awesome intro, and is pretty good for epic scenes

On 9: Tom Petty
Running Down a Dream - this was in GTA, and really the guitar is so badass, it cannot be overlooked

On 8: Black Sabbath
Heaven and Hell - A more recent song I have taken a liking in, and the voice of DIO is too good to be true! Rock on!

On 7:Budgie
Breadfan Because I am a fan of bread aswell.

On 6:Buckethead
Night of the Slunk - Aint no song, but it's pure gold never the less. The buildup is a powerhouse

On 5:Jimi Hendrix

Heck, look at my list. I consider rock to be my favourite genre, but when it comes down to it, my top 10 list didn't really consist of that much rock at all. Just post your 10 favourite songs (or 10 songs you really, really love) and see what turns out. Makes this thread a lot better you know

another song i absolutely love is scarborough fair by simon & garfunkel. simon & garfunkel are pretty awesome in general. their concert in central park must have been amazing. i own the dvd and i really would like to have been there.

absolutely. bridge over troubled water is awesome, one of their best.
and of course sound of silence... maybe their most famous song. even though it's almost a bit overplayed, i still love it's "creepy" sound. s & g are simply brilliant.
