I, for example, made a mom joke to a guy once. He told me his mom was dead, and hoped I was proud of myself. Embarrassing, damn yeah, but needless to say it wasn't my fault, it was an honest mistake. Some of you will be thinking that it was my fault, and that I should stop making "your mom" jokes. You're dead inside, and one day as you make a joke about peanut butter and somebody in the room lets you know their sister drowned in it when she was four, you will finally understand. tl:dr - Anything can be funny. Stop saying something isn't funny because there's a good chance the person next to you will disagree. | ||

Making generic your mom or peanutbutter (huh?) jokes is way different than picking an actual person and going on and on about how hideous and disgusting they are. I laugh at satire done at some people's expense, but to me when it crosses into cruelty I don't think its funny anymore. | ||
