A man, his wife, and his friend go for a boat ride (personal boat). The main character is in fact, blind. When they on the boat ride in the middle of the ocean, the boat has an accident which leaves them stranded on an island.

In order to survive, the man's friend lies to the man saying the woman died in the shipwreck but in fact kills her behind his back and feeds himself and his friend his wife claiming it is albatross soup. They are rescued a few days later.

A few months/years later he goes to a restaurant and orders an Albatross soup, he realizes what he had on the island was NOT albatross meat therefore realizing he ate his wife.

He walks out of the restaurant realizing he had eaten his wife, pulls out a gun and shoots himself in the head unable to live with the fact of eating his wife.

I gave you a lot of hints, but good job. We could only ask 3 questions a day (well thought out questions), it took us months and was a relief to figure out the answer =)

I was planning on doing this as I do my school reading but I didnt get any reading done since the overflow of questions
