No, that's an advantage to using metal, but that's not the reason they started using them. If it were that simple, then every SE asian country would use them, but the others don't. EDIT: Another possible reason from some web forum I read that Koreans used metal chopsticks because the metal would change color if the food was poisoned. I asked a few of my Korean students in Japan, and they said that that was the reason. There are probably other reasons too. | ||

I looked to play IIDX while I was there too... I looked in probably 5 different arcades in a bunch of different sections of Seoul: I didn't see one machine, only ripoffs. Then I realized, that every Bemani game was a Korean version rip off there, so it seems like they may have gotten in a lawsuit with Bemani? They have their version of Beatmania, and Pump It Up instead of DDR and junk, I was pretty sad. | ||
