Anyone know about his? This Tuesday a feud began about who "made huckabee" climb to the polls so fast. 8D These guys are my favorite and the funniest talk show hosts so im looking forward to this . here the vid:
dunno if this is fake or real but i cant wait to see how will colbert respond to this on monday . this is going to be the BEST THING that happpened on tv since the writer's strike who you think will win?
Poll: who is gonna own who? (Vote): Conan (Vote): Colbert
Gotta vote Colbert. I saw Huckabee on his show way back when he was at 1% and I thought "this guy is a genius." The guy has more wit in his pinky than every other candidate has in their whole body.

btw this would had been so much fcking better if they had the writer's , Robert Smigel from late night w conan obrien could own any of the report's writers on funniness, his bits Donald Trump, Arnold Schwneger, etc are just gold
Oh man, I love both these guys but I gotta go with Conan. I have too much loyalty to just put it down. This has the potential to be epic. I remember watching Colbert yesterday and it showed the clip of Conan shooting Colbert and I burst out laughing because of how random it was and I couldn't stop for so long. Two comic geniuses going at it is going to be awesome.
btw heres Conan's Diary during the strike: http://www.ew.com/ew/article/0,,20172074,00.html "DAY 58 How much can one man endure? Now the heavens themselves are conspiring to destroy me, as a light rain knocks out my DirecTV. I get through watching six hours of video snow by convincing myself I'm watching a director's cut of The Ring." rofl

I agree with this. The feud idea seems to play right into what Colbet does on a daily basis, but I'd be willing to bet Conan is more than able enough to keep things interesting, even outside of his regular style.

who colbert or huckabee?
PLEASE tell me you meant colbert
Its pretty easy to be funny when you have an extremely funny person setting you up perfectly.
Can't deny that huckabees got charisma though. If only he wasn't a hardcore right wing religious tool
bump, oh the irony just wanted to post this video up, its colbert on conan's show , yea its old but still funny, it has been removed from youtube so this took me a while to get for those who haven't already seen this http://onegoodmove.org/1gm/1gmarchive/2006/07/stephen_colbert_3.html
Colbert cracked me up when he was on the daily show, but I've never even cracked a smirk for anything from his own show. He seems very repetetive and obvious. Stuart > Conan though :p

You basically get stand-by tickets (do not guarantee admission) from the NBC (fuck, typed MBC) studio and you wait in line at around 4PM to get in.
They hand out numbered tickets at 9AM the day of taping, so you have to wait from about 8:00-8:15 to guarantee a spot. Then you show up at the studio at 4PM and they let you in in the order of your numbered ticket.

Colbert doesn't set people up for jokes, he tries to "nail" them. Most politicians don't have the confidence to play along with his character and they usually just go on his show to push their agenda, something Colbert fans don't really care about. Not a single one of the other candidates has the guts to joke around about choosing Colbert as their running mate..

I agree. Huckabee is extremely witty and an excellent speaker (I would go as far as to say the best speaker among the Republican candidates). I think he is probably second to Obama. I don't agree with his policies, however...

yeah im having trouble too, it wasn't like that half an hour ago tho. its probably down
Conan's been consistently funny for 10 years while Colbert's gimmick kinda got old in 2 seasons. Colbert's a funny guy but I can't really stand his character anymore since it's the same shit every night
Awesome bump, I definitely missed this! Awesome post too
Conan is just the most naturally funny person I've ever seen. He's got his idiosyncrasies, his sarcasm, his self-deprecating jokes, and his wit. I can't wait for him to take over the former funny guy Jay Leno.
Colbert's funny too... just too political and inaccessible to those of us not from the USA (Yes, we do exist!). Of course, watching him own a guy with bad logic again and again is still funny, but it gets boring to me after a while.
LOL So last night Conan responded too Jon Stewart and Colbert ill keep this updated to people who cant watch the show, i been following this for 2 weeks now and this is hilarious stuff

Yeah, and some people think Andrew Dice Clay is a brilliant comedian. It was funny at first in its absurdity, but a week of time killing segments culminating in this just makes me pray the writer strike ends today.

That's what these guys' shows are all about. That's how their shows were, even before the writer strike. They don't run a bread and butter show like Jay Leno, where everything has to be scripted. Look at the stunts Colbert pulled on his show with the writers. "Let's all go change the wikipedia entry for Elephants." "Let's all go rig this online Hungarian poll to get this bridge named after me" or "I'm running for President!" It's like the only show on television where he not only speaks directly to the audience, but encourages them to take action on worthless ideas just for fun. And Conan? Let's not forget how this entire feud started --> The Walker Texas Ranger clip lever. The guy that says "I'm going to put this lever on my show, and whenever I pull it, we're going to watch a Walker Texas Ranger clip together."
This entire feud is the epitome of everything that is great about these 3 shows. I don't see how anyone can be a fan of any of these shows and not find this absolutely hilarious.
Those things are all satirical and fueled with sarcasm and by pointing out the absurdity of other people. This is just them rerunning the same "feud" clips over and over on each other's shows and then adding a bit more onto it each time, but still repeating everything from before every single time they run the segment.
The first time they showed the Conan/Colbert gun shot, it was funny. The first time they showed Conan going on Stewart's MTV show looking ridiculous, it was funny. The first time Conan showed the picture of him holding up the Stewart/Colbert babies, it was funny. But they've shown all of those clips like a dozen times each and it's just stretching thin a bit of good material over a ridiculous amount of air time.
clearly you haven't watched any of conan's shows where he talks about an issue or a gag across a few episodes. he always gives the back stories, and conan has been re-using little jokes like calling stewart a "cable crony" etc for years and years. but he's still hilarious

so what, the amount of air time (which was not too long btw, 5 mins max) that they gave to this feud was worth it. Funny and entertaining and thats what this shows are all about
Jibba, you need to settle down. These are late night comedy shows, they aren't fighting for oscars here.
And for the record, Dice made his mark on dirty nursery rhymes and potty mouth. If you were going to get your panties twisted over the depth of this bit you may as well have picked a better comedian to contrast it with.
