I am envious of all you people who have a solid family that allows you to live in your house and pay for shit even though you have a job and probably even pay for your school, cars, etc. And I don't mean this in a bad way, you're lucky.

Sounds like the reason they are kicking you out because they expect your grandma to die or something. Then they can sell the house easily since you are no longer residing there.

Thats exactly what I was thinking. Now I am almost certain of ulterior motives.

Its like maybe she (gma) mentioned something about people being here and they ran with it an convinced her to agree to kick everyone out. Which probably wasn't that hard given her current state.

yea, im sorry to hear that. now i would just recommend you going into survival mode. work as much as possible and cut expenses extremely down. All new services, cancel ASAP and start looking for a new job. you do NOT need to buy a NEW car. Milk the van for as long as possible and then find a used pinto or something. I really wouldn't save up 600 just to gamble it away on online poker. As for your stuff, start garage selling them off and only take the bare minimum that will fit in the van. Drop your cellphone contract and go for a criket/pay as you go phone. I can't stress how much money that will save. Ramen will be your new best friend. Goodluck.

Yep people in that position (like moi) are indeed lucky. In many cases the parents treat it as an investment. Most of what I've gained monetarily from my family will be repaid... but having a place to live and people to fall back on upon graduating from college is quite a blessing.

Could you explain how you got into this predicament? Mainly the part where you only have $263 in your bank? That is how much I had in mine 4 months ago and now I have $3200 .... so why haven't you been working?

I don't make that much an hour and I only work about 30~ish hours a week. The government also likes to take about 1/4 of every check which is always nice.

I had a little over 1000$ in my account last month but I bought a computer paid bills, food and gas.

I haven't slept and I am due to work in 20 minutes.

My advice to you. Go and find a job that gives tips like waiting tables. I work as a carhop @ Sonic and my base pay is $6.50 an hour and I make another $5-6 an hour in tips.... so usually I will make about $11-12 an hour. It's amazing money and I will work 40 hours a week so it adds up incredibly fast.

Yea, I could get a regular old 9-5 job through a temp agency for like 10-15$/hr I have some quality work skills. I just like my job I have now because its close, the hours are good, and I am here by myself and can do whatever I want all day (like play SC lol).

on the flipside, as fucked up, depressed and hopeless it feels now, you'll reach a point where you will look back and be glad how things turned out, and you wouldn't want it any other way.

from experience, shit like this where you have to step out of your comfort zone is what defines you in the end. you'll get through it one way or another and you'll mature and end up being more independent, free and productive.

but yeah, right now it prolly feels like a downward spiral
