Really prioritize what you need to get a handle on now, as stated before, limit your luxuries as clearly now is not the time to have such liabilities. Good luck with your situation, Mike.

We pay for it, why can't we use it? I mean, I can't really say it's a smart decision financially. And I know nothing about CharlieMurphy's morals, but just reading what he typed makes me feel very little against him.

America doesn't have welfare really does it? We have Centrelink...if you're independent from your family, living away from home and such you get rent assistance and like $200 a week. If you have a child and such, you get a fair bit more... Maybe you'll have to go into council housing? edit: council housing aka projects.

Basically, you work with people to learn a skill, such as being an electrician, carpenter, etc. Basically, they pay you to work with them for a while, until you get a certificate. No classroom, just working. And they make pretty good money too: http://www.acpeople.com.au/cat/Electricians_4311xj.htm Ok let me get some shit straight here. I've played poker a lot, In casinos, at random tournaments, peoples houses, cash games, online a little, I've read a few books. I know how to play poker. I'm not planning to live off it but have it as a side hobbie to make extra dough. Its better than playing BW on the side for nothing right? Eventually I will get even better and maybe move up in stakes, but thats not part of the plan. I am not joining the military nor would they take me. I have actually applied for USAF before and I have screws in my ankle and criminal background (when I was a teen) not to mention the USAF doesn't accept CHSPE anymore I would have to get like 20 more credits ( i have some from previous college stuff) in college courses to prove to them I'm not an idiot. Which is retarded in itself. I might actually lose my job, a la getting laid off. Unemployment is my right. Like I said the government already takes out like 1/4 of my check. It may be time to collect some of that back. Its actually there for people like me who need help. Did I say I was just gonna sit on my ass and collect checks? No, stfu. My sister and mom applied to HUD (housing for urban development) a while back, They both have shit credit and it fell through. It takes a looooong time to get accepted and then for them to find you a house etc. Its not easy. Actually my sister's BF is doing that and now you HAVE to get certified to get payed as much as the top dogs. He was telling me about this cause a lot of the old timers who have been doing it for years are going to be paid the same amount as the new players who just get the certif (in class) and it pisses them off. My mom's job is taking care of my grandma full time. She collects SSI and lives here for free. My sister just got a new job but its something shitty that I know she won't keep for long. Her BF has been working at a cargo place driving forklifts and such for a couple months while he finishes up his electrician stuff. And yea Baal my gramma is sick and she probably behind it. I'm not going to go to her and argue or dramatize it will only make things worse for her and make me look bad. Fuck em anyways, I'll find a place. If they wanna be dicks about it then it would be a hell of a hassle trying to keep my room and then even from then dealing with their shit everyday afterwords. PS- My uncle rides motorcycles, no car. My sister's bf used to work for a storage facility, so he may be able to get free or cheap storage and boxes and shit.

If I were you, I would sell all of my meager possessions and buy a laptop and a cheap van, It would double as a bed in the back. I would drive to wherever there is free wifi (coffee shops, book stores, community colleges, other random places) and play poker in my free time. Working my job in the other time. If I couldnt manage to get a place to live I would probably consider going to job corps. Free housing and food + training is hard to beat. Since where you work you have access to a computer, quit playing bw and start reading two plus two small stakes forum(solid advice), start playing freerolls, beg for money from richer poker players, or ask for a stake and try to parlay that small chunk of change into a real bankroll. It's possible if you want it. You dont need 600 dollars, you only need like 50. Start looking for another job now, even a night job if you must, since you anticipate being layed off. Check in the newspaper for cheap rooms to rent. Donate sperm, donate plasma. Thats good for a few hundred I think.

The truth of the matter is, you shouldn't even be considering poker right now if you're having money issues and you're essentially a beginner. As far as your life problems in general Charlie, I feel for ya man. All you can do is prioritize and take them one at a time. Deal with your housing situation, at least temporarily, and then look at your job and what other possibilities are available to you. Don't cloud your mind with pipe dreams about poker and other stupid bullshit. Those are dead ends that will only make things worse for you, trust me. Focus your energy, work hard, and good things will eventually come.
