Azubu has nothing to do with Justin.tv/Twitch.tv. This is what happens when you copy and paste legal disclaimers without find/replacing properly. |
Azubu in general is just very weird.
Look at their sites. They are basically all dead and useless and spammed by advertisement bots. They get maybe a few hundred page views.
Azubu has offices all over the world. Doing what? They are a German company but no one has heard of them in Germany before they started their business in Korea.
They were unknown and then come out to sponsor a lol tournament for 150k only later to stop sponsoring that tournament.
Now they started a streaming website just like own3d which relies on a third party to actually service the streaming capacity. How viable is that?
It's money being thrown everywhere but to little effect and with no clear goal. It's just very fishy.

I checked through their Terms of Service upon release, and none of this was there (only the last paragraph or two). With the insane amount of site vulnerabilities and previous hackings to the page, my thoughts are that this could have been hacked into the site, but that's just speculation.

The infinite[ly hilarious] is attainable at Azubucom.

Well this is frankly concerning more than anything.

Strange situation, to say the least.

I really love this world. The idea that Azubu is large company, pouring a lot of money in a new project and somehow we end up with spinning tanks and an obscure cult.
The internet really shows what humanity is all about.

You think this was a bad copy paste? Some contracter who worked on a DoI website copy pasted how to make a HTML page redirect from StackOverflow and forgot to update the link so when you googled stack overflow, the first result was the .gov site (presumably googles pagerank trusts .gov so highly, it ranked it highest).

The internet really shows what humanity is all about. And what you say is in a surreal, yet prefect harmony with your signature. I'm laughing so loud.

It might just be some rich guy who likes e-sports a lot. Thats what I personally think. The person clearly doesnt give a shit about making money- just wants to be involved in e-sports.

Azubu is owned by Riot. Their plan is to make best teams of the world (Azubu frost, blaze) then sell them off to big organization to make the money back.
Think about it, if you pour millions dollar in the game, you should make your own teams to win most of the money back, at the same time you can sell off the team to make some extra money.
Evil evil organization!!!

Well, that's embarrassing

Hell, I do websites for a living and I copy terms all the time because clients rarely provide them. :3

So after reading everything here we can come to a conclusion that Azubu is a fronline money laundering operation for twitch dirty Esport`s money.

People generally proof read and double check these documents at some point before releasing them to the public.
