I'm just afraid that if I wash them now, they'll fade too early or whatever, so maybe it's better just to keep wearing them? They smell fine to me but is it better to make sure they're clean lol @.@

You can always turn them inside-out and that will slow the fading of the jeans Aerisky. I do it with all of my clothes. The front pockets are starting to show signs of wear because of my phone, but that's it.

@andyrau: oh i see, thanks. i guess i'd like to get a slow fade going and since it's my first time with raw denim i'm being a perfectionist about it and shit i guess XD

i think i'll just not wash it for now since i'm too lazy and don't want the color to get on other clothes etc, but if it smells or something then i'll just soak it inside-out with cold water

Always wash jeans with jeans. Like colors and all. If you don't want to wash them, soak in warm water to kill the dirty and then hang dry. That should be good enough for a couple of months. I'd say personally in 3 months wash them. It's just nasty and you'll behave differently knowing you're walking around in dirty clothes.

Hmm alright then, yeah I guess if they're really dirty it's just gross/it'll affect how you feel and act as well.

EDIT: btw, what do you recommend I get for a pair of AE calfskin oxfords besides like a shoe tree? Not sure what kind of conditioner/protectant/whatever you're supposed to for them, and was wondering if you guys had any recommendations

I'm debating on whether or not I want to buy anything clothes related in Japan. I'll need to buy like... 3XL to match an American size L

Any stores to check out that might have something in an American L that is reasonably priced?

I like the clean cut look but nothing too tight fitting. I'm 6'2" so it has to be long. If I had to pick a style, it would be the image below

Pretty generic I know, but I'm changing my wardrobe a bit from what I wear now (mainly whatever I feel comfortable in or cheap). Since I'm studying architecture and trying to start a few businesses, I guess I should upgrade a bit.

Last time I was there I came across some Averix but that was almost 4 years ago. Ugh, I guess it's back to Banana Republic for me then. Maybe I'll treat myself to a pair of Balmain when I graduate

I mean, large isn't THAT bad, I've bought plenty of stuff from Rakuten which fit me. Two years ago I was a 52/XL, now I'm about a regular L. Most size 4s should fit you, all size 5 should, big stores should have those but not for every style. In general, look for small shops that carry EU brands. You might have trouble finding the 50s because some/most don't import stock past medium.

Balmain is pretty overpriced, they have a young creative director who spends most of his time posting on IG and hanging out with celebrities. It's all part of the brand image that makes him successful, but if you're not bout that life I'd go with something of more substance.

I found this pretty good blog that I hadn't seen linked on any forum: http://www.thefashionlaw.com/, talks a lot about the business side, very pessimistic, but good topics.

Yeah I read fashionlaw a lot. Them and loosethreads are two of blogs I think are really good. More on the business side of things, which interests me as a businessman

And I'm looking for male accessories(cuff links, tie pins..) that don't stand out too much. Any suggestions?

Tie pins, swap out stock buttons on your suit, fancy pen, nice briefcase, pocket squares, maybe a ring. Dunno where you'd buy that stuff though.
Personally, I would find neat accessories at a second hand shot & hit up a beads shop for buttons & a local menswear shop or ebay for a nice briefcase & a fabric store for some silk designs & then seam the edges myself for pocketsquares.
