vests/waistcoats were intended to warm people up because of a lack of central heating; polos are sport shirts meant for actual activity so putting the two together is counter intuitive. unless you mean a fashunz vest like n(n) or like, EG or whoever else makes them. in which case idk glhf ive only seen dries/YY/rick so far. liked the latter 2 a lot

- rick/raf/jil were pretty boring imo. also the blades look really bad & shapeless from the front. - the highwaisted trousers from DVN are going to be very cool, may pick a pair up. - some of the BBS half khaki half leather pieces look great, but I feel like a lot of his looks are very contrived/busy, especially with the knit shawl-things over leather jackets - ann d looked like standard ann even though she's not there anymore; it's great anyhow. I've always liked her style and whoever is designing the collection is doing a great job maintaining continuity without being mundane/repetitive. - julius was fairly standard as well, but not sure what the deal is with gigantic coats and s/s. his structured lapelless blazers look great though. two collections that stood out to me this season were yang li and craig green. I prefer the former over the latter because the clothing feels much more wearable, but green's concept is very interesting - the padded vests over a flow-y bottom block is a great concept. yang li's collection for men was pretty boring but his women's more than makes up for it. also what the fuck is going on with the bondage straps this season it's like helmut lang secretly molested every collection

- i enjoyed rick a good amount. he has better shows but it was still interesting. - yohji killed it, but that's standard - dries was fun. i like the weird strap/half vest going on in everything. lots of stuff i feel like i'd play with. also, ballet influence apparently. - junya's pants, i want some. some of the shirting too, though people were talking about the patchwork a lot. - i agree about ann D. very like her - margiela was odd but i feel like that's their thing - wang keeps doing these big themed collections, but then there's some weird stuff like a scaled shirt like what. - raf was eh. i like the jackets with the contrast arms. - givenchy was simultaneously more tame than i expect, and really abrasive with that paint splatter thing. - lemaire feels like a twisted version of dadcore and i love it. i want those sandals - woah craig green. pretty cool. still having trouble discerning what's "good" as a whole vs individual pieces i enjoy. hearing others' opinions is interesting.

all collections thematically based upon a single idea; eg, raf's collection this season was to reflect his life through clothing, a biography of sorts conveyed through his clothing. my thoughts on clothing aren't as 'artsy' and abstract as this, so it's hard for me to judge collections off such conceptual notions for me, I simply look at the collection to see if the theme, as a whole, resonates with me. also to add upon my other comments on this season - margiela looked schizo - you have classic margiela semi-formal and all of a sudden full on streetwear & then some loungewear. huge fan of looks #17, 19, and 20 and pretty much deadpan for everything else. I seriously need those pants things idek what you would label them as - kva pretty disappointing this time around - that sheen fabric on the suit for look #3 for a. wang is spectacular. some good stuff here and there but overall I thought the rest was meh. - his designs for balenciaga were a lot more interesting conceptually but I'm not sure whether any of this is actually wearable. the odd proportions will look oddly out of place in a real world context

wang sheen + Show Spoiler + that's pretty cool. i think i go through looks too fast. i just flip through and see if i like the feel of the look as a whole and connect to the rest of the collection. i should look at fabrics and details a bit more but eh. big picture thinking
