Ok, I really am not well informed on the Team Liquid scene. I want to get some questions cleared up. First, what is the ICCUP? When is it held (I know it just went on) and how do you get in?

Now I've heard a lot about some kind of grades. I couldn't recall his name but I remember hearing someone from TL going for a D to a B in a year. I would assume it's how well you play SC2, but how do you get said grade, and let alone move up?

ICCUP is an alternative server that people use to play SC1

The grades are a way of determining your skill level, based on performance on ICCUP.

Oh and that link is a weekly overview of what went on in the Korean Proleague for SC1

So it seems like you mainly play sc2 so you probably don't have nothing to worry about ^^

I was reading that ICCUP link, I guess if they did do ICCup in SC2 Blizzard would sue. Hmmm....

It's really unlikely to have ICCup in sc2, at least until Blizzard drops support for the game. I think the main reason we needed something like ICCup to begin with is that in sc1, the "official" ladder was completely unmoderated. Every season, the top spots were always full of hackers with ratings of 9999.

With the introduction of the AMM and a ladder system that cannot easily be cheated, ICCup is not necessary. Hopefully, it never will be. But I could see it happening someday, if the game stopped being supported and cheaters ran around freely.

A rank might be able, A+ and Olympic definitely have a chance. But, i am mid/high D, so i dont think that i can

the high a/a+ players are sometimes pro players who use iccup for practice, and otherwise are high-level amateurs.
