I remember going to an Iron Maiden concert and they dedicated a song to him, "Blood Brothers", it was beautiful. The band was pretty close to him.

Sadly when I heard he died was when I first started listening to him. It was love at first listen, too little too late =(
But that was a terribly fast 12 months.

Can't say I really listened to Black Sabbath much in their Dio era but he's an acknowledged legend and it's always sad to see a legend pass away, RIP.

Man, 1 year I wish I could have seen Dio live man, he was an amazing performer and an Icon for heavy metal as a genre. RIP Dio, may you be singing to this day in a better place
