The Rooney offside decision about 5 minutes into the game almost certainly cost Man U a goal (Ashley Cole forgot to do his job in the offside trap, and was at least half a in front of Rooney when the pass was made). Valencia clearly getting shirt tugged by Terry in the box in the first half should have been a penalty. In the second half, the Drogba decision was atrociously bad. However, the free kick given two minutes after that should never have been given. Fletcher not only connected with the ball, he also won the ball before touching the Chelsea player (can't remember who it was now). And finally, Brown getting taken down in the box. The ball went over the spot where Brown was standing, and would have been blocked by him. All in all I thought it was a good game, and quite equally matched, but there's nothing I hate more than bad referee'ing ruining a game. At this point in time, I'm starting to wonder if there shouldn't be a computer referee or something to help out with important decisions (ala Rugby). In the mess that is a set piece, the referee has no way of seeing what every single player is doing, so when something happens like a player going down, the ref ends up guessing a decision, which seems to be right 50% of the time. | ||

Manchester United deserve to have games stolen from them. They've done it enough times to other teams. I can't stop smiling when I think of Liverpool. I really do hope they sputter into 5th and miss getting out of their group. Justice. Arsenal and Chelsea are clearly the two best teams right now. Whether or not that stays the same.. we'll see. All you Manyoo fans that were spouting off at the beginning of the season - still think Rooney can score enough goals to make up for Tevez and Ronaldo? | ||

Also, the foul on Drogba was definatley a foul.. A red sure.. But Drogba did make a huge fucking deal out of it (HE ALWAYS DOES).. so haha either way. | ||
