Variation at the top is great for CL. An italian team vs a german team in the final is the coolest thing that could've happened this season IMO.

And I like it how no team could have defended their CL title since the introduction of this format. I really have to disagree let the last four teams of CL play four games against each other and any other result than barcelona leading would be a HUGE upset

From reading through this thread it seemed like Inter got an unfair red? And Barca had a goal disallowed and some dubious referee decisions? Hopefully! If so that makes the match even sweeter being a Chelski supporter ![]() Bayern vs Inter is a good finals imo. The funniest thing in this CL final has to be that Robben (<3! Pity that he is plagued by so many injuries in his career) and Sneijder are both ex Real players and arguably the most influential players in the success of both teams in the CL final!

Guess the refereeing decision wasn't too in favor of Inter seeing as they had to play with 10 for a long time. Lame to see Busquets doing something like that, in the Arsenal game he was going down and rolling around a bit too much also.

I just brought up a different oppinion based on their this seasons success, which states that Barcelona are not the dominant force they used to be last year. A tournament or "European Super league" format would be cool. But that's still too many "ifs and whens" and I can not see why Barcelona must be leading at the end ![]()

also, the referee in this game was bad, but not even close to worse than the one that caused barca to go through in last years semi finals, karma's a bitch anyone who holds barca to one goal in the camp nou with 10 men for 60 minutes deserves to be in the champions league final.

Fulhams run through the Europa league has been improbable. First they beat holders Shakhtar Donetsk. Next, Fulham needed to beat Juventus by 3 goals to overcome a bad away leg. Then this happened. Next up, Fulham defeated German champions Wolfsburg. Beating Hamburg and simply making it to the final would be miraculous. However, we believe, because we remember the Great Escape. In 2007-2008 Fulham were set to be relegated. They had gone through 3 managers and signed over 20 players, but accumulated just 4 wins. However Fulham found a couple of wins, and with 5 games left in the season Fulham still found themselves sitting deep inside the drop zone. 4 of the 5 games left were away. Fulham had yet to record an away win the entire season. The first of the five games was at relegation rival Reading, where Fulham would record their first away win. Fulham looked like they may have a glimmer of hope, but dropped the next game to Liverpool. Everyone who had given them any chance wrote them off. They would have to win their next 3 games, at Manchester City, Birmingham, and at Portsmouth. Against Manchester City, Fulham found themselves down 2-0 at halftime. Bookies gave Fulham 1:50 odds to stay in the top flight. On this day however, fate began to turn for Fulham. Kamara scored for Fulham to close the gap to 1-2. Minutes later, Kamara was taken down in the box for a penalty, which Danny Murphy then converted on the rebound. The score was 2-2, but Fulham needed a win. In the last minute of extra time, a ball bounced to Kamara who slotted it past Hart for an improbable 3-2 win. The unlikeliest of heroes Kamara turned savior for Fulham. However, the work was not done yet. Next they faced relegation rivals Birmingham. After hitting the crossbar 3 times, Fulham finally put the game away when Nevland hit the back of the net beat Birmingham 2-0. This gave Fulham back to back wins for the first time in 5 years. To escape relegation, Fulham would have to do something it had never done. Win 3 games in a row in the Premier League. The final game of the season was at FA cup finalist Portsmouth. Locked in a scoreless draw, Fulham needed a win to stay up in the top flight. In the 76th minute, Murphy got his head on the end of a free kick and blasted it into the back of the net. Fulham would hold on for a 1-0 win completing one of the most miraculous escapes in sports history. When Fulham and Hamburg kick off tomorrow, no matter what happens, we will believe. We've faced tougher odds.
