I skimmed the thread again, and it sounds like you guys are arguing over whether or not to use simultaneous turns. That's pretty much mandatory for me, cause otherwise games take fucking forever. Even with simultaneous turns you're investing 8-10 hours, so without them I can't imagine how long a game would take. I'm really fast with my turns, as I queue up almost every city and worker, and I appreciate others who do the same.

Also, we (the group I play with) like to use no tech brokering as a rule. I couldn't find a list of rules that you've used in your past games, but no brokering makes for a lot more strategy in teching and trading, especially with neighbors.

Anyway, however you guys play, it'd be a lot of fun to get in on a big group that plays aggressively. A lot of my friends like to play it like it's Sim City, and that annoys the hell out of me. It is a war game, after all.

OneBlueAugust, we're gonna start a game pretty soon but with AIs so you can join in if you come later, or start with us if you can come soon.

We're playing with no tech brokering and no vassal states, simul turns, normal speed. Today I think it will be a huge map.

another game has just started with a few AI's. As always hamachi channel is TLciv4.

Also panda's hosting, so direct IP and use panda's hamachi ip to join.

So I just downloaded the Fall From Heaven mod. I haven't started up a game yet, but I've been reading up on the forums in the mean time...and holy shit everything seems totally different. If anyone's up for it I'd love to play a multiplayer FFH game, in the mean time I'll be playing some quick single player games to get the hang of everything.
