I'll be the half-asian Canadian guy playing Arcana Heart all day. And some MBAA. On Sunday I should be wearing a Bison's Autoshop T-shirt to rep my local SSF4 venue, even though I have no plans to enter SSF4.  (Entering more tournies = less time for Arcana and Melty.)Edit: btw anotak, is SF4 remix still available to DL? Myself and some other MBAA players watched some videos of it last weekend and now we want to try it after NEC. | ||

 We should be arriving around noon on Saturday, while the other 4 Canadians (BB/GG/MB players) will be arriving Friday night.We don't really expect SF4 Remix to be balanced or anything. For comparison, we've been messing around in Fate: Unlimited Codes, so we're not really worried about broken stuff. DeuS wants us to start playing IaMP. Maybe I'll give in if he agrees to play Arcana. (... Yeah, we're pretty much the definition of poverty, now.) | ||

but good news is i met bill307 lol. was confused when i asked these guys from team canada if they knew a bill and they were like "no who's bill". next thing ya know they call team waterloo lol. saw bill reverse OCV or dbl kill a team. GS bill, glad you could make it out to philly talk to ya 2morrow. melty room is always fucking crowded in philly. also any1 who saw sanford's team vs team EG, sanford's sagat played so fucking solid. one of my fav. matches i saw | ||

end of the team tournament was amazing. genius play from dieminion. I hope someone recorded that. sanford had a couple mental breakdowns there forgetting which ultra he had and doing the wrong motions, but he fixed it up for when it counted =) | ||

overall fun event, GS to wolfkrone and once again nice to meet u bill ^^ oh speaking of team finals noel beating sanford twice and almost a third time is a huuuuuuuge wtf. some dumb stuff like doing triple c.lk, c.jab and being too far away for TU to connect doing the wrong ultra lol | ||

 )if u saw me i was in the front row during some of top32. got tired of watching and went to play in the cabinet room more and when i came back for top8 was running around to find a chair to stand on to watch the rest of the tournament T_T edit: btw did they stream the coinflip tournament? i was so tired all weekend i left right before wong beat wolfkrone. that shit is lol | ||

 Btw, Arturo was also in the ST and AH1 tournaments, so that might've accounted for some of the hold-up. | ||

GGPO is kinda annoying though. half the time I try to use it I get connection errors all over the place, and then on top of that 90% my matches are either me completely destroying someone who's nowhere close, or getting my ass handed to me on a platter by a player way out of my league. Really wish 3s online would actually happen soon, starting to doubt if it will even come out in 2011 =(( | ||

(besides EX and special ofc) also what do these buttons on the top of the Stick do? There is a turbo button, an xbox button with 1,2,3,4 around it and lights, then there are toggles lock/unlock, and then 3 way toggle LS DP RS. What does all this crap do? and yea i hold it like that already. I just watched a video about stick holdings, and its just something like comparing hotkey setups in sc. Just do whatever is comfortable. | ||

The turbo lets you assign the buttons to be rapid-fire aka turbo...should be self-explanatory? The lock feature makes it so the buttons like the Xbox button, maybe start/select (I forget) don't actually do anything if you press them--I guess it's a feature for people that mash really wildly lol. The 3 way toggle switches the joystick between sending inputs for left analog stick (LS), D-Pad (DP), and right analog stick (RS). That one would actually be important to know. The thing about cr.lp (or cr.lk) was just to stop Balrog, because his wakeup reversal headbutt comes out really really slow. You're not going to stuff his EX headbutt that way--a light attack will just recover fast enough for you to block before he actually hits you. Against a lot of characters with traditional SRK moves that come out much faster, you just need to walk up, bait it, and block on their wakeup. Lame, yes. As Trumpet says, with good timing, you can do a late crossup as well. If they're never throwing out wakeup SRKs, then you can go back to doing something more aggressive on their wakeup. | ||
